Default Can the Ds Survive Tax Reform?

GOP political machines rely on Gerrymandering which SCOTUS has ruled to be broadly constitutional.

D political machines rely on:

The deductibility of state and local taxes, which no longer exists.

Union support. The Ds have used the EPA to undermine private sector union support and SCOTUS has made Public Service Unions much weaker as part of the D political machines. Without unlimited SALT deductions, work arounds to maintain/revive this part of the machinery are hard to find.

Will the Ds find some sort of workaround to stay a national party?

Not true Willie. That state/local tax deduction still exists, but is now capped at $10,000.
