Study Recommends Having One Less Child Because Climate
So? It's just a curiosity, akin to the obvious truth that if we all killed ourselves, the planet would be less impacted by humans, at least after the decomposing passed.

When policy is proposed, such as in Berkeley, data itself may well be the least important aspect of the question:

Berkeley declares 'climate emergency' worse than World War II, demands 'humane' population control
Fraudulent data is a real concern, and there has been plenty in the global warming activist circles. But even when that's discarded, it's policy that is the subject of political debate.

Berkeley's not calling for a "one-child policy," like China's, at least not yet. But China's one-child policy has been credited with having at least 30 million fewer girls on the planet, and the impact of that absence, according to the numbers available in the first study, is significant. Not to mention that the girls not alive could have become bearers themselves of future children, so the multiplier effect is even greater in the future.

The data is not in dispute.
So from fears of what they specifically didn't say, and which you acknowledge that they didn't say, you're claiming that the whole subject is invalidated and we shouldn't do anything...

The problem is that the data IS in dispute, divided mostly politically.

Global warming exists, despite claims otherwise. If we could start with that premise, perhaps we could make policy decisions.

I don't think the dispute over data matters. Whether global warming is warm or hot, or not, 45 years ago it was global cooling, and yet the policy remedies had the same outlines.

The scientific discussion was never over global cooling.
The political discussion should be over remedies for global warming instead of arguments about its existence. And if you or yours has a good idea as to how to deal with it, propose it instead of denying the data.
