Default Competitive Gerrymandering

It brings out the crazies in both major parties so, a populist like Sanders or Trump was desired by the electorate in 2016. Hillary sank Bernie and elected Trump.

Pelosi and Schumer have plenty of deep pocketed donors who have an agenda that has much less appeal to populists among independents than the Rs under Trump.

Currently the economy is doing extremely well except for the more radical areas within the Blue Wall.

The widespread primaries tonight should have major effects on the Democratic party one way or the other.
