If it were adult cats fighting I would use a supersoaker on them.

When I shoot a rubberband at my cat she thinks it is a game, but when I bring out the supersoaker I don't even have to use it, just the sight of it makes her run for cover.

lol.. that third kitty was just "sick" and tired of its siblings fighting so much.. lol
