Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson withdrew Tuesday from the White House race. Here's his statement:
McLean, VA - Senator Fred Thompson today issued the following statement about his campaign for President:
"Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort. Jeri and I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people."

Now what Republican do you like?
You're not sorry!
They all suck.
Lesser of all evils...Romney.
He is closest to my conservative agenda, plus...
Chicks dig him.
(except my wife, she finds him "creepy", whatever that means)

Stop whining you big baby.
Who are you supporting?
(except my wife, she finds him "creepy", whatever that means)
Does it mean that he's the kind of guy that would smile at you while stabbing you in the back? That's my guess...
Thompson was just a lot of fluff. He would have been the perfect GOP nominee. Sorry to see him go. He was comic relief.

You're not crying, must need more salt.
Besides it's sadist, masochists like to receive pain.

Thanks for the link, AlanC.
I will be supporting Romey.
I don't like Huckabee at all and McCain is a horror-show.
So far libs, moderates, independents and the Lefty press has been able to influence the selection the GOP nominee.
The only one they are not propping up is Romney, that is the best indication to me that he is the most conservative and the biggest threat to the eventual Dem candidate.

I like Romney to.I think if Mccain doesnt make it Romey will and thats not to bad.if that witch Hillary gets the dem nomination Romney will be a shoo in to the white house.
In fact if that witch does get the dem nomination Id rather vote for a convicted felon then vote for her.

God! McCain is frightening. You missed the fun, Aidie, when I discovered how sadly mistaken I was about Romney, and if he gets the republican nomination and Hillary gets the democratic, I'm voting for Romney! Screw that!
Ugh -- the idea of Hillary makes me cringe. I still say Ron Paul will run third-party.

about time thompson quit. guy feel flat on his face once he "officially" entered the race.
he's just another example of a candidate that the media hypes up, who has no clear platform to run on.. he's little different than the rest of the flip-flopping establishment fools out there.
cronic
