Hello Everybody,
It's me, the newbie. I sure have had a funfilled first week here in this forum. Even though I experienced some "not so fun" moments, overall it has been a blast. I welcome everyones comments on my first week here. Was I a pleasure or was I a pain? Please, feel free to be COMPLETELY honest with me, since I am asking for true honesty. Rate me with an open mind as you would a loved one. Don't hold back, whether you want to give me hugs or hollars.

I feel that the experience of this thread will help me put my association here at DF in perspective. I decided to temporarily unaffiliate myself from political parties so I can discover where I really stand politically. I am also waiving all my constitutional rights bestowed upon me, so please be truthful.

REMEMBER. ONLY ONE VOTE PER CUSTOMER. To much love would slant the poll results :)

I think the point is that it seems odd for a person to have to start an entire thread on the matter of "Do you like me or not?", especially when we have the rep system. It just seems like needless attention grabbing.


I voted that I tolerate you, because you can be very irritating, mostly when you try to act like forum police, but I won't hate you for it. Yeah, your views clash with mine, some more extremely then others. I won't hate you unless you start to be stupid about it, and I haven't seen that happen.

I think you have some valuable skills for writing and research.

Our views may not be congruent, but you are a welcome new member.

This type of thread shows a certain tpe of exhibitionism, the desire to "make a splash," that I find objectionable.

I think that forum etiquette would call for restraint regarding going after an established member like Viola. If you have an issue, often a public brawl is not the best way to settle it.

And who appointed you to direct traffic on this board?

In sum, you're not an ideal new member; I would rather have someone come in with debates of substance than an aggressive attitude toward others.

But you have potential. Let me encourage you to debate your positions and leave the personal squabbling go.

I will not consider this a personal attack, since I respect opinions. I just do not have much respect for posters that argue for the sake of battle. Granted, my posts here may have irritated some, but if you look beyond the complaining of some, you will see that my points have been justified and well documented with FACTS. If you are upset, it's really not my problem. If you don't like me, well I understand it is not personal and I encourage you to vote accordingly. If you love me, well it makes me smile.:) Everyone needs a bit of love now and then.

If you feel that I have posted this thread as a means to get attention, that is not my intention. I am just curious as to the nature of others in this forum. Have I been out of line or if I have been appropriate, let me know. It gives me food for thought as to my online presence.

It does seem though that this is a familiar theme. Throwing stones in a glass house. I am glad I had another example to prove my point. It seems like you enjoy causing conflict since you constantly return. No one is forcing you to subject yourself to whatever treatment you are receiving here (unless you like it). As noted, you have been here longer than me, but you are not above me, nor am I above you. We are both equal members of DF. That's a reality you are going to have to deal with.

Mark, it seems that it is her that is trying to piss me off. Look at this thread and you'll see how she has tried to provoke me into an arguement. I am unwilling to do that, at least not here. That is not what this thread is all about. Please reconsider your opinion on this matter after checking the facts. I made my point about the other thing, and it was a point that needed to be made. As I said before, I will NOT roll over while someone tries to stick it to me. I will stand my own, especially if provoked. But this is not the venue for that, and I refuse to get sucked in.
