I've been rooting for Huckabee because he'd be a pushover in the general election. But the more I see of him I'm starting to realize something, I actually do like him. I don't think he'd be a good president, but he is genuinely likable.
I think Giuliani is the most tolerable Republican in terms of running the country, primarily because he's the most liberal, at least socially. At the same time I've never liked Giuliani. Pragmatically he's the best, but I just don't like him. McCain I've never felt strongly one way or the other. He's fine, but he just doesn't do anything for me. But there's just something about Huckabee that causes me to root for him. He just seems like a nice guy.And some of the comments he's made, with regards to Mormonism in particular, I don't really see as hateful but just as ignorant. He doesn't know any better and doesn't know that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
He's not half bad on some issues either:
Immigration Huckabee stated "that some anti-immigration Republicans are guilty of demagoguery and racism".... However, Huckabee supports a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants which would involve some form of amnesty.[135] He said of the border, "Police it, absolutely. Militarize it, no."[136] Huckabee supports increases in visas for skilled workers.[137]....
AIDS Huckabee supports increasing the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) from $15 billion to $30 billion over five years. He also supports more funding to fight tuberculosis and malaria.
Iraq Huckabee supports the ongoing War in Iraq and the troop surge. (not ideal, but better than the quick pullout proposed by some)
So it's no longer a joke. Huckabee has my endorsement for the Republican nominee. Hillary is still my choice for president, and Huckabee is light years behind, but still, for a republican to get even a limited amount of support from me says something. I disagree with most of his positions, but he's a nice guy and there is some common ground.

Go right to the 5 minute mark for the good parts. That is, of course, unless you happen to like the song "Free bird", which I don't.
