View Full Version : Clinton's emotional

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (Jan. 7) - In perhaps her most public display of emotion of the presidential campaign, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s eyes welled with tears, and her voice cracked dramatically on Monday, as she talked about holding up under the rigors of the race and her belief that she is the best candidate for the Democratic nomination.
If it was not an Ed Muskie moment — Mrs. Clinton did not cry (or look like she was crying) — she was certainly on the verge of it after a woman asked her, at a round table discussion at a coffee shop here, how she managed to get out of bed and soldier through each day.

I wanted to laugh and make fun of her but for some reason I can't. She's fallen behind, no one said winning a presidential race would be easy.

I certainly don't feel sorry for her. Just last month she seemed to be bragging that she couldn't be beaten. This is the highest position in the land that she is running for and if she can't handle being behind then I have no sympathy for her tears.

I heard her on the radio. I guess she's exhausted.
Are the right wing pundits mocking her already?

I guess I have a little bit of sympathy for her, I mean politics is a nasty business (just like prostitution) but that's not gonna sway my vote towards her.

Me either, but when the right wingers mock her for it, I find that pretty pathetic.

Did anyone care when Mitt Romney got emotional and teary?

Is it OK for men to get choked up and emotional, but not for women?

They probably are, but from the story I heard on NPR, I got the impression that most people were pleased to see her reveal her emotional side. All her enemies call her cold and conniving, but today's remarks were clear evidence of another side to her.
My first thought when I heard this story took me back to Maine Senator Edmund Muskie, who was a democratic presidential candidate back in the 70s. The Manchester Union Leader published a nasty piece attacking his wife about some totally insignificant thing, and he responded with tears of frustration and rage. The media capitalized on his emotionalism, and he was driven from the race.
There are so many people who want Hillary to fail that I'm sure most of them will try to capitalize on it.

And no one cares when men cry.

This seems to be working for her and the lib press has already been rationalizing it just like they did with Bill Clinton's behavior after he got caught cheating on his wife and then lying about it.
Remember..."everyone cheats" and "lying is good".
My fear is that politicians are so desperate to win and if this crying jag gives her a bounce in the polls the rest of them will jump on the bandwagon and start breaking down at the slightest provocation. We'll need slop buckets at every rally and debate to collect the torrents of tears.
Ahmadinejad is breathing a sigh of relief, between his gales of laughter.

My prediction is that she will tear up at every interview, debate and coffee klatch from now on.
The new Clinton strategy for victory...crying.
This makes her the most qualified to be president.
She'll be ready to cry on "day-one".
Hit the ground (with her nose) running, as it were.

If Clinton teared up on camera it was also on queue. She does nothing that isn't scripted and designed for maximum political effect.

I don't know...she actually might have been emotional...about herself not the plight of our HC system as she claimed.
But if their focus groups show a positive reaction after this, watch for her to try and recreate that scene at every opportunity.
The strategy will all fall apart as soon as that raw onion tumbles out of her blouse.
The jig'll be up.

She actually been talking to FNC, a sure sign of desperation. The lefties will not give her any points for giving access to such an evil and fascist network.
