Mike Huckabee hunts about 11 miles from our duck camp every year along the Arkansas Louisiana border for Ducks and Geese.Its been going on for years and no secret. Clinton did the same thing when he was Governor and president. Arkansas and Louisiana is in the Central Flyway for migration of waterfowl on there way from Canada and there are plenty of rice fields that attracts them. We basically kill what they don't. Huckabee has been hunting for years as well as Rainbow and Brown trout fishes up in the Ozarks along the White and Red rivers. Look this is nothing but somebody making a big deal out of nothing. Where I live the Baptist preachers from the local churches every year get together for their annual duck and deer hunt when the time is right. What they kill they have a big feed at the Civic Center or Wild Game Cookout. Presidents of the past hunted like Teddy Roosevelt for bear and everything alive you could imagine. Hoover trout fished, Johnson rabbit hunted with his beagles. Ike quail hunted like Bush 1 and 2 and Cheney. Also John Kerry was a big Goose hunter. People are trying to make a big deal out of nothing. Even the comments Huck said were satire. Lighten up folks. Plenty of preachers hunt and fish and eat their own kill. Huck did have some nice pheasants to eat. When you kill a pheasant you keep the long tails off of them as trophys.
