It sure shoots the old adage to hell and gone. That's what life under the Bush regime is like. Screw up and get promoted. Expose state secrets for political purposes and have the president himself protect you. Protect the war profiteers and plunderers and be rewarded. Lie in your daily interactions and then get paid to write about your exploits.

Man, I tell you, if there was ever a reason to never vote Republican again, this administration is it in a nutshell (no pun intended).

NEW YORK -- Republican strategist Karl Rove agreed to write about his years as an adviser to President Bush in a deal worth over $1.5 million with former colleague Mary Matalin's conservative imprint at Simon & Schuster, officials said Friday.

Mr. Rove, the architect of Bush's 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns and one of the most influential political advisers of his time, signed the deal with Threshold Editions, the imprint's publisher and executive vice president Louise Burke said.

Poor old doughy pantsload!

His book is already in the half-priced bin.

Initially, the bidding was projected to go to $3 million +.

And one of his friends had to take pity on him
to reach even that low $$$.

If the lies he spewed on Charlie Rose are any indication, we are going to have one doozy of a book chock full of lies and exaggerations. I can hardly wait.

(I'll be checking it out from the library so I won't have to spend any money on it.)

what's the point of reading rove's memoirs? he's just going to give his twisted, defensive, account of all the scandals he was involved with - in addition to flaming those who differed with his policies (like iraq for starters).

save yourself the effort and just listen to rush/hannity for 10 minutes.. that should be a sufficient synopsis imo.

And also keep in mind that his policies and manners are affecting the WHOLE AMERICAN SOCIETY.
And it's not Republican George Bush only.

The people's logic is this - Hey! If president can do this sh*t and get away with it, so can I... F*ck that sh*t!
Gee.... America used to be really good country with good, decent people.

America still is a really good country with excellent people and as soon as we get rid of this neocon dumbfuck and his band of Flying Monkeys, the world will see that. One more year of this crap...

I'm going to read them because I know others will, too, with the intent of going thru them to see how many times he lied. I only want to see if I am up on my stuff enough to catch them the first time thru the book without any outside spoilers. I cannot imagine that he would say anything that I would take at face value. I haven't so far.

Pretty funny though, that he couldn't get a publisher easily. I guess most publishers know it's going to be a book filled with lies and smears. Everyone knows what Karl Rove is by now.

Yuck, what a waste of good paper. I had heard about this book, and somebody said they'd rather watch a video made by Cheney on gun safety.

The question is will there be any money left after he's done paying the libel suits from this book?

ECW, I have seen many examples of the same from both democrip and rebloodlican parties when they hold power.

The two party system has FAILED, and its about time we clean up our mess and fix the problem by getting rid of them both, and all incumbents.

AS they say, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result each time.....

How many times are the American people going to PROVE they are insane, by expecting change to come in the form of a Democrip or Rebloodlican, after 157 years of electing the same corrupted groups and expecting change?
