Moscow mayor dead set against gay parade, calling it "Satanic"

MOSCOW, January 29 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov said Monday he would never allow a gay parade to take place in Moscow despite pressure from the West.
"Last year, Moscow came under unprecedented pressure to sanction the gay parade, which can be described in no other way than as Satanic," Luzhkov said at the 15th Christmas educational readings in the Kremlin Palace.

"We did not let the parade take place then, and we are not going to allow it in the future," said Luzhkov who has been in office since 1992.

I know there is a power greater than myself.
I accept that, even though I dont fully comprehend it.
I also know that my ego is in everlasting(?) contention with my own best interests.
I often witness the power of "God" in my own synchronicity with the universe.

When I empty myself of ego-centricities and materialsm I can then experience my own connection to something greater than myself. It can be described alternately as God-consciousness or Oneness or wholeness.

A long time ago I was a preacher of the Gospel.
I "know" scripture verse. But, today, I am not so sure of the simplest fact.... the name of God.
God didnt tell me his name personally. That ("God") is a label given him by men.
God has yet to tell me, in my new awareness, if his name is Lord or Yaweh, or Yogi Bear, or Om.

I guess His name isnt very important, or he would tell me.
Why should I trust somebody else with something so important? They usually have a dog in that race, an agenda.

I am a spiritual being on a human path.
I am a human being on a spiritual path.

I am not a member of an organized religion but I am open to the spiritual truths of mystics and prophets

I try to listen to God personally, before the fabricated words in books.

My perception has limitations, but I am pretty quick to spot bullshit. Even if it is disguised as chocolate chips.[hr]If God is anything God is everything.

If God hates anything, God hates haters.

Just my opinion.

It's possible God could contain His opposite.
As do we. In His Image.

There's not a doubt in my mind that Fred Phelps is a repressed homosexual. I suspect that when he dies, some stories will begin to emerge that reveal his hidden activities. The only way one can carry that much hate is when he's trying to deny something within himself that he doesn't approve of. In Phelps's case, his vicious attacks on "fags" keep him close to his favorite obsession, don't they?

It is really hard for me to believe sometimes, with all of our problems - lack of Health Care, need for better jobs, War on Terror, War on Drugs and the myriad of things that happen in most peoples life that cause stress (i.e. work, lack of money, spouse, kids, etc. ) that some people can get so fixated on something as mundane and stupid as what two adults want to do in their own bedroom!
