Seeing how Joe endorsed McCain this week, I thought Hmmmm...could this be a set-up for an "Independent" run at the White House? :ponder:

If this were to happen, which party do you think would loose their voters to it, Republicans or Democrats?

IMHO, I think more Democrats would pull for this ticket, than Republicans would. McCain is very liberal on many issues, and Lieberman IS a liberal, despite his non-suicidal thinking about the war.

Any thoughts on this?

I really don't think they'd get much of the "change" vote which is the presumably democrat voting independent contingent. The hardcore dem's are not going to vote for mccain after he's gotten behind bush on the war and other issues. Maybe a few % from the repub side but that's probably it. JMO

I'd have to agree with T&P on this. I don't think either party would vote for him. The Democrats don't like his stance on the war and his Bomb bomb bombiran stance is not in line with them. The Republicans would see him as a traitor, leaving the party. Independents wouldn't vote for him, for both of the above reasons. I also don't see him leaving a party he truly believes in.
