Of course violence is increasing under a violent president who wishes you to be as guilty of murder, slaughter of children, enslavement and torture. You are either with his brutal violence or against the United States to hear Bush & his replugs tell the story. America is signing up and manipulating the laws like the White House does. Everyone uses Bush's logic, if you can get away with it, no harm, no foul. With more murdered imate notches on his belt than any man in America, is it any wonder that criminals see Bush as their role model? Or that police are becoming more violent to match the violence of citizens? Hey Bourne!! The article doesn't mention Bush's name!! :madlaugh:
Police Brutality Cases Rise Sharply
Dec. 18) - Federal prosecutors are targeting a rising number of law enforcement officers for alleged brutality, Justice Department statistics show. The heightened prosecutions come as the nation's largest police union fears that agencies are dropping standards to fill thousands of vacancies and "scrimping" on training.
Cases in which police, prison guards and other law enforcement authorities have used excessive force or other tactics to violate victims' civil rights have increased 25% (281 vs. 224) from fiscal years 2001 to 2007 over the previous seven years, the department says.
Those data show 42 law enforcement prosecutions during the first 10 months of fiscal year 2007, a 66% increase from all of fiscal 2002 and a 61% rise from a decade ago.

Police Brutality Cases Rise Sharply
No offense, and I am not saying Police Brutality hasn't necessarily been rising, but show me convictions, not cases.
I know people sometimes bring false cases. Let's take a look at convictions, not cases.

I honestly don't know what one thing has to do with the other, since police are pretty much under state regulations. Are you trying to tell us that police brutality somehow has to do with you're either for us or against us, or Bush's stance on torture...........because your article sure doesn't support what you are claiming.
There are bad apples in every profession........police aren't immune to this.
Hey Bourne!! The article doesn't mention Bush's name!! :madlaugh:
I know........I fixed the title for you......titles of threads MUST match articles.

The article points out violence in police rising. IMO, it is happening due to the amount of violence being introduced into the American society. Bush trys to draw Americans into his own psychological sickness, and creates mass hysteria that people act on. He creates unhealthy conditions of corruptive behavior that people emulate in society. I gave you one example, "with us or against us" in mass murdering people in the ME. How many do you want? Letting Libby slide is a break down of societies rules of laws. Taking the side of dozens of criminals in his administration, and bring criminals into his administration. And lying to the public about everything imaginable. He creates lawlessness in society, that you can get away with any criminal act, that if it is good enough for Bush, then it is good enough for me attitude in citizens. Is he the role model you want for your children? Or for criminals to follow?
Police are not immune from mass hysteria either. They are shoving broom sticks up suspects rears, tasering them to death, shooting them, etc. They too believe their actions are justified in Bush's psycho-ward America. Hopefully you now understand how this criminal stuff filters down and becomes a common ground in violence. Just like the 911 mass paranoid hysteria blanketing America.[hr]No offense, and I am not saying Police Brutality hasn't necessarily been rising, but show me convictions, not cases.

I still don't see what one has to do with the other.

Commuting sentences is hardly something new.

The reason you are hearing about this is because it's NEWS. If it was something that happened everyday it wouldn't be NEWS.

Now this you can't blame on Bush. Violence is probably not rising, people are just taking against against the police for it more often.

Agreed, that is why I said take a look at the convictions not the cases. Sad to say but America has become the land of "Who you can blame". And that isn't liberal or conservative, but just based off of greed.

Maybe take a look at how much crime has gone up and perhaps take a look at newer criminals who are more violent than their predecessors.
That might be interesting.
