The death penalty is a severe penalty, reserved for the worst of the worst. A punishment ensuring the predator will never roam our streets again. A penalty that tries to make amends to society for an atrocious, barbaric and evil action of one of their predators.
Liberals generally hate the death penalty claiming that it is not a deterrent. That it is barbaric, cruel and unusual. They seem to care less about the victim, clamoring over themselves to overturn the will of the people. To try to save someone like Tookie Williams, who murdered a couple of people in cold blood, never recanted, became a children's book writer, but finally paid the ultimate price for his viscous crime.
We live in a country where the morals are askew. It's OK to save a predator, ensure that they get their three squares, their exercise, their comfort, and that nothing will harm them. We have it backwards. Look at the statistics and you will see that crime does pretty much pay. Shortened sentences, lighter sentences, and compassionate do-gooders to give them comfort and aid..
It's OK to kill an innocent unborn child, but discipline a child, or spank a dog, and you will pay dearly. The death penalty for a killer, no, we must have compassion!
Liberals think that it is cruel and unusual punishment to stick a needle into the arm of the condemned, yet for the victim who had her life taken from her after she was raped; little compassion. For the kidnapped baby, smothered and dumped in a trashcan; Shock, but little penalty. For the dad picking up a few items at the convenience gunned down in a robbery, no pity.
Liberals are absolutely wrong on this issue. The death penalty is harsh, yes, but what about the crime? Most countries have abolished the death penalty, true, but does that mean that they are right, no, it means that they too are pacifists, more interested in the rights of the prisoner, and less of the victims family. One stat you can not refute is that any one executed has never committed another crime! In this day of DNA, and the other advances in criminology, and the continual appeals that prisoner enjoy, the instances of the wrong person getting the death penalty has diminished.
We have severe overcrowding on the countries death rows, and what is the solution? NIMBY is usually what the public wants.. Not In My Back Yard. The cost of prisons, the housing, accommodations, guards, etc, is in the billions! Society needs to be civilized and law abiding citizens. We need to rid ourselves of the predators that prey on us. We need comprehensive prison overhaul, and we need it now. We need to attack this problem at the beginning of it, our children. We need to instill a sense of value, of worth into the kids. We need to bring them up with respect for one another. Education is important, parenting skills important, discipline crucial.
Does abortion play into this? Well if a person is deemed an accident, or a biological event, and not a gift from God, or a life of purpose, then perhaps they do not view their life, or other lives as important.
Does pornography play into this? Perhaps, it does devalue women, and gives unrealistic views of women. Sexual crime is on the increase, and so is Internet porn. Have you looked at Megans Law website recently? Oh yea.. The Killer of Megan Kanska is Jesse Timmendequas, as a sex offender, he raped and killed this 7 year old, and received the death sentence. New Jersey is abolishing the death penalty and Jesse will be spared. The girl he brutally raped and killed became the catalyst for Megan's Law. However, justice has now been raped by the New Jersey Democrats, and the penalty for this governmental rape, a shafted society!!
Well I am sure that the bleeding hearts among you will call me names, after all you are very good at that. What is your solution for the most vile of humanity? How would you propose to solve this issue?
