I agree. That's the difference between people like him and Dick Cheney. Dick's daughter comes out and he goes "Maybe they are like us after all". Alan's daughter comes out and he goes "Get away from me you horrible little faggot".

I don't like dick cheney at all, but at least I have to admit he seems like a genuinely good person with regards to family and the people he loves. I have to respect him for that.

Let me do some analysis on some of the things in that story:

Does he know that we were still "picking cotton" even after the DOI was signed and up until the Civil War? Does he know that morals didn't help out that much until the 50's?

He said Obama "has broken and rejected those principles — he has taken the slaveholder's position."

Asked specifically about the phrase "slaveholder's position," Obama said Keyes "should look to members of his own party to see if that's appropriate if he's going to use that kind of language."

Obama's got him there for the language part, seeing as how Republicans are supposed to be all about morals. But then again wasn't it blacks who voted mostly Republicans until the Depression because the Dems were racist?

Keyes, who is from Maryland and lost two Senate races in that state,

In conclusion Keyes has some nerve calling Obama a "slaveholder's position" when slavery means lack of freedom and he's denying people should have the right to marry whoever and also disowning his own child over sexuality in the same breath.

I love Alan Keyes and his positions. However, the notion that the country would elect someone who freely speaks his mind is doubtful at best.

The REALITY is that elections are won not by core Democrats or core Republicans. I cannot see myself EVER voting for a Democrat with Socialist leanings EVER. Most elections are won by winning over the Independent voters and Blue dog (still conservative) Democrats.

As such, Keyes would never have a chance. Elections come down to both sides choosing the lesser of two evils. None of us should trust either side, but choosing Socialists who promise us higher tax rates, less choice and BIG Government that is designed to pander to voters and line the pockets of their constituents at the expense of others is just plain retarded.......don't you think?

It is very different because at least the Republicans are not guaranteeing that your taxes will be DOUBLED and implement a Socialist agenda that is guaranteed to fail.

Socialism guarantees these things; (1) Less Choice; (2) Mediocrity at best; (3) Higher taxes; (4) slow growth GDP; (5) Higher unemployment.
