Back in 1960, Frank Sinatra wrote a campaign song for JFK. Jimmy Carter had one, too, called "Why Not The Best?" Now it's your turn to come up with a campaign theme for some of the people running for president. If you decide to join in, there are two rules:

1) You have to be an equal opportunity basher. By that I mean, you have to come up with two different songs: one for a Republican candidate and one for a Democratic candidate. (Bush isn't a player here since he is not running for anything.)

2) Choose a particular artist or band to select your songs from. If you have some music from a band you will find it is easier to confine your search to that one band instead of scouring every band out there.

It's easy. Look here. I'll go first.

The Beatles

Hillary Clinton - She Loves You

Tom Tancredo - Nowhere Man

Hillary has already picked hers...and of course just recently changed her mind. Celine is out and Big Headed somebody and the Monster are in.

I wasn't asking you to tell me FOR REAL what they were, I was hoping you would come up with humorous suggestions of your own. Any ideas?

John Edwards: "You can't always get what you want" by The Rolling Stones.
Hillary Clinton: "Big Girls Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons.
Fred Thompson: "Me Against the World" - by Simple Plan.
Rudy Giuliani: "I'd do Anything" by Simple Plan.

With my limited knowledge of pop music, about the only good matchup I can think of is "Jesus Loves Me, But He Can't Stand You" for Mike Huckabee. And I don't really think he's that mean spirited.

If you don't know the song, it's by the Austin Lounge Lizards, one of my favorite groups.
