No they're not on tonight. They come on November 28, that's next Wednesday, on CNN. I figured it'd be a good idea to post this and let everyone know ahead of time.

This Wednesday's the night for the debate and I've taken the time to note what is likely to happen during the debate:
-Paul will get at least 4 questions.
-Tancredo will bring up his platform on immigration.
-Thompson will try too hard to be funny.
-Romney will get a question about being a mormon.
-Guiliani will mention 9/11 multiple times, because it's his dearest ambition to constantly remind everyone of what he did that day.
-McCain will remind us of his stance against torture.
-Someone will ask something completely irrelevant to politics or the debate and we will all sit here wondering why the hell did they allow this video in.
-The audience will applaud a ridiculous response from one of the top candidates.
-Should there be a text message poll, Paul will win and someone will try to discredit the poll because one of the lesser-known candidates didn't win and then they'll come up with the usual "he rigged the phones" or "the spammers did it" or some other shit.

Don't forget that Thompson will use some 'down home' comment to make himself look like regular folk.

micnostradamus!
(I think you're spot on)
But you forgot at least one...
-They will all, in a cacophonous unity, proclaim each is "the only real conservative on the stage".

A squeaky wheel is one thing, but...a squeaky third wheel in quite another.
I like Paul, and I think he should get his say.
I hope he doesn't pull a Perot or Buchanan and split the vote down the road.
Please.

I do not believe my cable just went today, of all days. Oh well I'll catch it on Youtube (ironically) tomorrow.
In the meantime keep me updated.

I think it was shamefull that the republican candidates think that U.S. soldiers are not disiplined enough to work beside openly gay soldiers. The same exact thing was said in the past about white soldiers being able to work with black soldiers. They totally pander to prejudice. So are they trying to make the point that U.S. soldiers are incapable of having the disipline to put their bias aside and act in a professional manner compared to the soldiers of other countries that have openly gay sildiers. It sounds like a slap in the face to the integrity of U.S. soldiers.

Well underdawg, if the rape reports are correct, some of them are not disciplined enough to work beside women without problems either.

yeah, I would think it is probably true. The army promotes a culture of sexism and homophobia. I don't think ordinary soldiers do this on their own.

Well, you sort of have to get out of your normal civilized self to do the things they have you do during wartime.

Every one of those questions were for the purpose of making the candidates look bad. This was an embarrassment. No wonder FNC is kicking CNN's rear, people see this.

Wow whatever I have to do to NOT have Romney elected works for me. I'm thinking about registering republican to vote for paul. Romney clearly caters to the IQ under 100 crowd.
I thought guiliani gave a clear answer about the immigrant problem in his city. It's not like he's the INS, that's a federal job. He was just tasked with running a city while the feds didnt nothing for their part of the bargain. I like a pragmatist.

Who was it, Duncan Hunter who said the military is mostly made up of Christian conservatives and to have gays openly serving alongside them would be insulting to them.
OH BROTHER!!!!

OH BROTHER!!!!
How many years ago was it the women, and before that the blacks, that were going to cause our brave christian soldiers to lay down their arms and fight each other?

Seriously. Bigots keep thinking our troops are just as bigoted as they are. Our troops are Americans (with some illegal immigrants, trying to get legal, scattered throughout) and I don't think the majority of them care what sex, race, or sexual preference the soldier next them has, if they are good at their job and ready to fight alongside them for our country.

Considering how the Army has lowered it's physical and intelligence standards, I would think they would welcome ANYONE who could do the job!

The army makes soldiers do lots of things that they don't want to do or find distastefull, but they do it anyway without question. So why should serving beside other gay soldiers be any different? If soldiers can't get along, then these republican leaders are claiming that the army has a disipline problem and can not act in a professional manner. It sounds like a slap in the face to the troops.

IMHO Romney got slapped around a lot last night. He wouldn't answer if waterboarding is torture and McCain creamed him on it. Guiliani smacked him around about the illegal immigrants he had working on his property at some point in the past. And a video was shown of Romney speaking about abortion rights. I don't know if this is the exact one that was shown, I think it was a Thompson campaign ad...but here's Romney in 1994. Big flip flop to what he says now.

I'm looking at clips of the debate right now and I like how McCain said "isolationism" was the cause of WWII while Paul just smiled and shook his head and let the crowd boo McCain.
When it comes to torture, I swear it sounded like Romney flip-flopped. McCain totally owned him on that.
Glad that Thompson acknowledged that everyone who owns a Confederate flag is not a racist.
I find it ironic that Giuliani was the first to answer the question about why African-Americans don't vote Republican, considering he wasn't attending the debate where African-Americans in the U.S. was the primary topic.
