I used to post at Political Crossfire, but that place was a mess. It was too big and about 5 posts into anything, it would turn into a personal attack. I left for a few months, came back and it was still a mess. So I left for good.

I then googled political sites. I came up with a list, I looked through them. it was between this one and another site, and I decided to go for this one.

Firefox reccommended this site to me. We both belonged to another site Patriot Debate, to which a number of your present members also were involved for a time.

I've been here for a little while and thus far am enjoying what I see.

I must say that I've tried my best to get people to join but I've only been able to get one too. Seems like I had to bring it up every day until she joined haha.

Those of us with addictions always try to pass them onto others in hopes of feeling better about it. Doesn't work though, it makes me sick to wakeup in the morning knowing that I'm going to spend an hour of my day here.

I do not remember exactly how I chanced upon this forum. Having arrived, I believe I did my bit and pulled in, either directly or indirectly, a few others.

I have been contemplating putting up the URL for this forum in my Myspace so others might consider joining.

However, my enthusiasm for the forum has diluted a bit. That is because I like to be involved in forums that are more global in reach and less specific to the US. So, I would have liked to see more international participation, with news that might not always appear interesting for Americans, but might have relevance elsewhere. This helps us stay in touch with the world.

I hope this forum will grow gradually and take on a more active international sections in due course. IN general, my comments are positive. I particularly like the fact that the posters here are generally civil and do not let arguments get too personal or vicious.

It is my belief that the world is stepping into uncharted territory in many little ways, and that a good platform for dialog between people on the ground is a good way of bringing awareness to folks. There is mainstream media, but there has already been opinions and comments on how good or bad they are today, and how indipendent and varied. So, there is going to be a need for good mass discussion forums among people - providing an alternative to the regular media.
