This was spun by Clinton Inc as some sort of "ganging up' on Hillary by a "bunch of guys". (The inference to a "gang rape" did not escape me)
This is a risky defence.
She is auditioning for the President of America. If she can't handle the likes of Edwards, how is she going to handle the formidable enemies of this nation if she ever wins?
Whining that she is being ganged up on by, Syria, Iran and the like will render her and the US a laughing stock and ultimately weaken our geopolitical position in the world.

Great fun to watch Hillary the Democratic Party front runner getting poop thrown all over her by her fellow Democrats. I wonder if she truly understands the fool which she made of herself. I wonder if the Democrats recognize the damage she's done to their already tarnished reputation. Nice job Hillary.

The Clinton war-room is scrambling to make sure this gaff will not reoccur.
One way to remedy this is for her to actually have cogent answers to pertinant questions. This is harder than you might think for the Hillary camaign, and they know it.
Threatening and strong-arming is way more their mode of operandi.
Behind the scenes there ae some very heated and forceful discussions concerning Russert as well as how to "deal" with Edwards, Obama, Richardson et al.
Watch for some very disturbing "facts" to emerge about Hillary's opponents. There will be attempts to blame the attacks on the nebulous and omniscient right wing conspiracy, but most knowledgeable and free thinking individuals will know better.
The Costa Nostra has nothing on Clinton Inc.

Top 100 US Liberals...4. HILLARY CLINTON
Senator for New York and presidential candidate
Could this woman be the 44th US president? At the time of writing, she appears the odds-on favourite, although a shrill and defensive debate performance and an unwillingness to commit herself on the smallest of issues betray alarming chinks in her armour. A much-improved campaigner, she is mistress of her brief but is vulnerable when forced to move beyond the familiar and lacks the human touch that was Bill Clinton’s speciality.
Much will rest on the Iowa caucus. Victory there will leave her cruising to the Democratic nomination. Defeat could puncture her bubble of apparent invincibility. If Mrs Clinton, 60, eventually loses to Barack Obama, her early move to the centre to appeal to independents with a hawkish stance on Iran could go down as the ultimate act of hubris. Having never wielded executive power, she would be one of the most inexperienced presidents ever to enter the White House. A battle-proven veteran of partisan warfare, whether her campaign mettle, rigorous intellect and formidable self-discipline will be enough to be an effective president will be severely tested if she is elected. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/exclusions/uselection/nosplit/liberals1-20.xml
It seems that the last debate could be the comming of her "Waterloo".

She has never been strong when it comes to issues imho. She will most likely follow the path of her husband by taking polls of everything to see what her opinion should be. Unfortunately for her America is more polarized than when Bill ran. She is only going to piss off people by taking stands.
Example:
Issue 1 -the war
Issue 2 -gay marriage
Issue 3 -health care
Person A might vote against issue 1 for issue 2 and against issue 3.
Person B will be the opposite.
People will quickly recognize her as a fraud without convictions. She will never please everyone and at this point with people voting against politicians instead of for them she is going to force more people to vote against her.
Fortunately for her...I think she has the upper hand by being the most savvy, has the most money, and of course..is a Clinton.

Despite all her foibles, she will still probably secure the Dem nomination.
Her success in the general is doubtful, for exactly the reasons you cited, Labrocca... among others.

I doubt very seriously that Hillary will be the next President. Frankly, I don't think this country is ready for a female president, and also, she's a Clinton. A Clinton, like Bush, was in for two terms (three if you count Bush Sr.) and with all that has happened over the years, I think Americans will be looking very closely at the issues and will be looking for "new blood" in the White House.
That's just my opinion, just based on what I've seen in the news and picked up from in here too. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong, and we should know about this time next year.
It's gonna be interesting, folks! Put on your galoshes, because there's going to be a lot of poo stirred up between now and then.

I disagree, Pookie, I think America is ready for a woman president.
It just has to be the right person regardless of race or gender.
The job is way too important to hand it over to someone based on their gender or race. That would be judging someone on those factors and we know that is not what fair minded Americans do.
This is why we don't need Hillary, it has nothing to do with her being female, but she is disingenuous, collects illegal campaign money, will take this country down the road to European socialism and ruin our economy and take away individual freedom, among other detrimental things.
To elect her "just because" is beneath the American voters.
“Knowing what we know now,” Clinton replied, “I would never have voted for it.” She later added that voters would ultimately decide for themselves whether her position was acceptable. “The mistakes were made by this president, who misled this country and this Congress.” The audience applauded and cheered. In Dover, N.H., she told voters: “If the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or has said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from.”

However, I think Hillary and Laura would scrap to the death over cookie recipies!

Moments earlier, Clinton gave a careful answer when asked whether she now viewed the North American Free Trade Agreement - a product of her husband's administration - to be a mistake.
"NAFTA is a mistake to the extent it did not deliver what we hoped it would," she said.http://apnews.myway.com/article/20071116/D8SUNQQ00.html
Look for this EXACT same answer when her Universal Health Care plan destroys our system, if she's elected.
Oh well, too late then.
All the "I told you so's" will never be able to bring it back then.
Look for this quote in the future...
"My Health Care Plan is a mistake to the extent it did not deliver what we hoped it would," President Hillary Clinton said.
