This happened last March.
What were the rates and what were they raised to?
It is a bit specious to say that in this day and age there is a problem with the dissemination of information. The right to Free Speech does not infer a right to government subsidation of the distribution of speech or ideas.
Is there any evidence to say this raise in rates is somehow unreasonable or deliberately burdening?

Egads, the "logic" in that article could be used in any number of ways to claim that America's independent media is being "stifled." Having to pay rent, taxes, utilities, etc could all be claimed a stifling burden using the same line of thought.

Best thing the post office did was the "Forever Stamps" have a nice stash of those when they came out so don't have to worry about the price of stamps going up for a while.
The only problem is I send out a lot of care packages and I have noticed over the years the cost of those is going up. It's a real shame.
