I used to think exactly like this for quite a while, and I used to support abortion and mock religious arguments against it.

I now oppose abortion, but for completely different reasons than religion.

That's the weirdest looking 'person' that I've ever seen, murdered!

That's either not saying much... or revealing too much.
Hola, Jonny Bull Dog!

Nice Aquarium there, hope you enjoy it.

Shall I show pictures from a Slaughter house to make you all feel better?

Just keep in mind at one point that was all of us. What a disrespect you have for life. "oh it's small so it's worthless"...I bet you wouldn't say that if it was a rain forest frog that was about to be extinct.

LOL Conservatives have about as much respect for the rain forest as polluting the atmosphere, they simply don't care. Nice try though.

{PERSONAL EDIT: DELETING COMMENT WAS UNCALLED FOR SORRY}

Absent formal introductions to said fetus, this is a misplaced thread.

The thing is that people are no way going extinct yet.

Another liberal making broad and sweeping statements that have nothing to do with the point being made? I think so.

How about trying to address Labrocca's point that you probably would care more about the frog than the human?

It doesn't feel pain, it isn't aware and it doesn't have thoughts. It has absolutely no concern over its own survival. If the mother doesn't want it then it has no real value to her either.

I bet you wouldn't say that if it was a rain forest frog that was about to be extinct.

True, at least for me. But there's a reason. The population has no need for additional humans. There are over 6 billion of us and, if anything, the world is worse off with another billion.

At the same time that tree frog population really could use that additional tree frog.

One has a real benefit to the species and one doesn't. So at that point I look at other measures of value as I mentioned at the beginning.

It's not about caring more about a frog than a human. It's about caring more about something that is essential to the survival of a species vs. something that is unwanted by the mother and has absolutely no awareness or thought as to its own fate.

An aborted from isn't going to be anymore aware than the aborted human, but simply its potential for breeding in the future is much more important to that species of frog than humans.

Sweeping statement?

Yea it is. What do you think Boogey?

That's funny it sounded as if you just made a sweeping statement about "Another Liberal".

The better question to ask here is, where do we draw the line? A fetus can't experience pain. It's life in that it is an anatomical predecessor to the homo sapian. But with that same logic an amoeba is a protist and predecessor to animal organisms that comprise the cellular make up of all biotic parts of the environment.
So are you a murderer if you spit on a hot sidewalk? That is subjective to where you want to draw that line. Practicality tells me the line sits somewhere between a beating heart and cognition. Of coarse that was a cognitive response; second opinion? Maybe we could ask a rock.
