She hasn't been around for a few days and it has me worried. I hope she is ok.

I haven't seen anything, but she might be a bit peeved at you personally for going ballistic on AnnE...
That would not justify dumping out of here without discussion, though. I think Lily is just chilling with her family for a few days...

Don't worry Lab. We all have unexplained absences from here from time to time. I've had times where my work gets in the way of pleasure and I've had to have a little DF holiday. I'm sure Lily is OK and will be back shortly. :)

I'm sure that is what it is. I've been very busy for the last two months and not on as much, but I still love you all as much as ever.

What happened anyway? And how is it that I miss these things?

I doubt that's it Pat. Lily usually comments when people, including labrocca, say something she finds objectionable.
She's probably just busy or took a vacation.
Lily is like a bad penny. She'll turn up and make life hell for us all over again. She's probably out stealing pumpkins...

She wasn't around before my tizzy fit with AnnE.
I just know she isn't a spring chicken and I get concerned when she is absent without telling us. I just hope she is ok that's all. This place isn't the same without her.
I feel like Lily is a grandmother to us all.

To us all? She's my contemporary! My grandmother would be 115...
Thanks guys..........it's nice to be missed. I try to get away from things about once a month. This month was to my best friend since 2nd grade......if you can believe that! Went North to see the colors.....and the smells.......they are still allowed to burn leaves! We also celebrated her "third year birthday" of her new life with her new kidney.

If you don't mind my asking, where do you live?
She's probably out stealing pumpkins...
What did you hear? I didn't steal anything! They asked to be free. Free from drying out on someone's porch, with silly faces cut into them. Free from being smashed in the street by kids too old to be trick or treating. Free from being fed to the cows if someone didn't buy them. Free from feeling rejected because they weren't round enough or big enough. Free from the frost that will soon be coming. Free from people throwing away the really good parts......the seeds!
Besides........the charges were dropped.

Oh, I am glad you are doing good, that you had fun and that your friend is on her third year! How nice!
If you don't mind my asking, where do you live?
Not at all. I live a mile out of Detroit. You've heard of 8 Mile......well I live off of 9 Mile........in fact my youngest son went to school with Emminem.[hr]

Indeed! I learned that lesson well when my dad was dying. I value that last year. He and I had a closer, more connected relationship than practically the rest of my life.
