Ok, I was just looking through a website showing pictures from the first same sex marriage in Massachusetts and San Francisco. Then I scroll down a little more and see a bunch of pictures from Iraq, Palestine or one of those places. First pic? I dead kid with a hole in his head and his brain half out of his head (not just visible, actually outside of his head) on the table. I would have liked a little warning before being shown that.
WTF? Why don't they put a warning on these things first?

War is ugly.
I have a better idea. End war. That way there won't be any pictures to warn us about.
Let's all be thankful the only part of this war that affects us, are the pictures.
We brought the war on terror to Iraq. They didn't have anything to do with the terrorist attacks. But they are suffering the war because Bush, the decider, decided to put it in their country.

Well I thought it was going to be more marriage pics, not pics of war. No mention that the page had anything to do with war was included.
So many sites do things like that and it always pisses me off. Same with spoilers in movies. A lot of movie reviews give away the entire plot and ending:
People start mysteriously vanishing and no one knows who did it. The police ask questions and can't find any answers. THE DAD KILLED THEM ALL. THE END.

In all seriousness, would it have made a difference if the dead kid simply had a visible hole in his head and no brain matter was exposed? I suspect so. Too many see war through television and movies which do not accurately depict battle wounds. Perhaps if they did so the shock generated would cause those in power to think twice before committing to war. But this is probably wishful thinking on my part.

Scrop, the whole point is the whole top half of the site was wedding pictures. There was no mention of war. It wasn't even relevant to the top half. That's what I hate sites doing, jumping from one thing to a very disturbing thing.

Thank God we don't have to see war except when stumbling across it over the internet. We are the lucky ones.

Ok, I see your point. I thought that it was just the gravity of the wound that upset you. Sorry.
