Can Ron Paul truly defeat Comrade Clinton? If Paul wins the primary by some act of God or, even better, by some act of rational thinking in Republican voters, he still stands a good chance of losing the general election. Why? Here's why.

Ron Paul is a terrible public speaker. Yes, yes. I know. His ideas are sound. But, he becomes flustered and nervous. He fidgets on stage. He rambles. He's not concise with his answers during the debates, and this gives the spin-machine all the ammunition it needs to make him seem more a fool than Dan Quayle.

Dr. Paul doesn't speak presidentially; when asked what policies he might enact to fix a problem, he often slips into using the second-person pronoun. This can be seen as a weakness or an uncertainty with his stance.

Hillary, on the other hand, is a fantastic speaker. She's strong and fiery. Frustration and anger simmer beneath her surface; it doesn't bubble to the top and distort her message. She's careful, like a wolf or a spider, attacking with cunning and strategy. Yeah, her message is socialism. But how many Americans would freely give up their rights and let the government take care of them if prodded in the right ways? It's been happening for two decades now.

For all the reasons you stated in your previous post plus the fact that the R behind his name is a misnomer... Much of this guys campaigning platform is not of a conservative nature in the least. Tancredo and Hunter are much more staunch conservatives and more appealing to the GOP.

Speaking properly is not a requirement to become President, if I recall.

I know Clinton's going to be a hard act to follow and her voting record would look cleaner if she hadn't voted for the war and other things. But what Paul wants to do is make the people better by making them for self-reliant, and less handicapped, the way it should've been.

Just to be clear I'm not saying Paul will win, but it's a year away and you never know.

If someone were to kill every other Republican candidate and Paul won, he'd probably lose to Hillary in one of the biggest landslides, if not the biggest, in presidential history.

I'll be voting for Paul in Hawaii's primary, if he's on the poll.
