LOL!
He's more of the same, that's for sure.
Hey, if you like what's going on now, vote for Rudy!
That should be his motto.

So now we know that fundraisers are more important than debates that can make you president of the US. He probably could've said some really good things in the debate, but oh well.
Now what happened to the other 3 candidates?

It would appear that the smear machine is having to work overtime to actually come up with which to tar Mr. Giuliani.
This is an attempt at race baiting, pure and simple. I can see that and I can't stand Giuliani!

No, it's an attempt to learn about the candidates and now we see that the top 4 Republicans don't feel the need to speak to the African American voters.

If a pattern is established that can back up that specious claim Viola you might have something, but this is little more than a smear campaign against Giuliani.
Race baiting is a truly sad and sorry way to make political yardage against an opponent by ASSUMING a motive you cannot prove.

I think most of the Republican candidates think the black vote is going to the Dems no matter what they do. And that's why I think they just don't feel the need to try.
Giuliani, McCain, Romney and Thompson didn't show up for the debate. Huckabee and Brownback said:
“I’m embarrassed for our party, and I’m embarrassed for those who did not come,” said Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas. “Because there’s long been a divide in this country. And it doesn’t get better when we don’t show up.”
Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas began by saying: “I think this is a disgrace that they’re not here. I think it’s a disgrace for our country, I think it’s bad for our party, and I don’t think it’s good for our future.”
And some of the 4 skippers thought the black people would be hostile...
Tavis Smiley, the television host who moderated both PBS forums, said at the outset: “Some of the campaigns who declined our invitations to join us tonight have suggested publicly that this audience would be hostile and unreceptive.

He doesn't care about anyone but his own ego. There is no room for anyone else. ;)

Tsk Tsk, that alone does not make him fit for being president.

Even if it is his ego that caused him not to show Jafar, race baiting is a vile and sorry practice.
The guy went where the money was, he IS a politician after all.

Do you think someone will be coming up from behind, slowly but surely?

Well I guess but what I was hinting at was how the hare, who was the big man during the race decided that since he was going to win because he was the fastest (i.e. Giuliani) he would take a break and then finish out the race.

I was watching Meet the Press last Sunday and they mentioned that Rudy, and all of the front runners, have skipped the Black and Brown debates. Pat Buchannan said something that makes a lot of sense to me. To paraphrase, Pat stated that the GOP only get's a small portion of the minority vote. So why go to a debate, which will probably beat you up? Pat basically said it made sense to skip. Then, just as Tavis Smiley (the African-American host of the debates) was about to pipe in, Pat grabbed his arm and continued. Saying that this strategy will work for the Primaries, but will doom the GOP in the General. He referenced an earlier graphic from the show, without the 16% of the black vote in Ohio, Bush loses the election in '00.
I hope, and pray, that the Republicans keep up with this tatic because as you look back at the close elections its the minorities that turn them one way or another. Without the Black or Brown vote, the GOP loses:clapper::ecstatic::clapper:
