I like the system, personally. Up until recently I prided myself on the fact that I only gave out positive reps. As soon as I was forced to give a neg rep, that person gave me a net rep...my only one. I still dont know what to think of it.
What are some classic 'reps' that have been given? I liked Lab's pos rep before he banned CWN, but cant see it anymore :P

Actually, I get worried when my rep point gets too high, and work diligently to lower it. Some of you might have seen this, it is not pretty.
I certainly walk the line sometimes, and thank you all for at least tolerating me.
I'm half kidding here of course but if posters take positions just to earn reps, that is sad and they are ultimately waisting their time and others'.

I think that being assigned a reputation by one's peer on this forum is excellent as long as the issued reps are honest, are not based on partisan political position and a brief explanantion for the rating is offered. Of course, the moderators should retain overriding authority to review, approve or delete any reputation.

I agree, it is a good system and I enjoy it. Though it has the potential to be abused I think most members here are honest and fair.

I tend to issue neg reps when a person completely avoids the issues and/or resorts to personal attacks. For positives, the opposite.
I pride myself on having positive reps from people with different political perspectives, from socialist to libertarian/anarchist. My neg reps mostly come from the neocon slurpers like chessy.

Sucked but oh well...I certainly wasn't removing the negative I gave him.

I liked stoners old one where he denounced me as a racist. He removed it when the new rules took effect though :(

That alone makes this person a Leftist AKA Progressive. If I recall, he called Mayberry a leftist too. DHard has some serious issues but he was so funny...
The admin screwed with my Rep powers.
I gave December a Pos Rep because he had a -1.
Hes not a bad guy.
After I gave him a Pos.... he still had a -1 after my vote.
My vote doesnt count.
Prior to that, the day before, I gave Labrocca a Neg Rep... he immediately tampered with his own value to bring it up 1 point. (Actually he just made my votes impotent)
That was the first Neg I have given anyone.
It was in anger. Because he thinks the pigs should be allowed to torture unarmed citizens with 50,000 VOLTS. (And because he Negged me)
I removed Labs Neg after about 20 minutes, and his rating remained at 27 (same as before)

I dont follow December around and I avoid the Israel/Palestine forums that has gotten him the bulk of his Neg Reps.
So, just from what Ive seen of him, I like him. Theres sincerity there. I will not feign adoration. Give it a break.

I direct my hate toward those who hate the sacred American Documents and the proponents of fascism. But its really more toward their ignorance and hate than toward them. They can change. Even though its not my job to change anyone.... my beating them down with a neg rep isnt going to win anyone over to reason.

I did no such thing. As a matter of fact I posted in this thread that you gave me a negative. YOU removed it. If the rep points didn't change for you then that's simple a browser cache issue. Hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh a page. You can give me that negative if you feel it that necessary. I know I won't be removing mine until you learn to debate with more civility. I have neg repped a few people but over time I change my vote if they are worthy.
