So now we can point out the hypocrisy and sin of those republicans who publicly claim to be against homosexuality as well as pointing out the sin of those who engage in it openly, right Zo?

Very funny, even though it's kind of a target of opportunity. Since republicans have been so strident and condemnatory in proclaiming "family values," it is amusing when so many turn up. The only judgment I'd offer is a comment on the hypocrisy of it all--trouble is, none of us is innocent of hypocrisy. None of us.

I'm starting to think I should begin all my threads with the warning "This may offend boogy".

But no one is saying anything about homosexuals. The thing has been, and is, about someone who fights against the rights of people who have the same desires he does, and he acts on them. Actually, if anything, he's doing worse. Not only does he do that, but he's engaging in extramarital sex with random strangers he knows absolutely nothing about. He puts himself in danger of disease, puts his wife in danger of a disease, and cheats on his wife. And if he didn't use a condom his risk spikes again.

I am condemning him right by your side Zo, you just don't want me condemning the other side of that aisle as well.

What other side of that aisle? The side that doesn't fight against the rights of people like them or have extramarital sex with random stangers?

You know exactly what I mean Zo, as we have had this discussion many times before.

Maybe you should tell me:

you just don't want me condemning the other side of that aisle as well.

When someone says that to me I assume they are implying that I'd condemn such behavior committed by someone who isn't on my side.

You know, from past discussion, that I am anti-homosexual as I know, from past discussion, that you are pro-homosexual. Positions we have both held through many debates and discussions.

I love seeing hypocrisy exposed. The reason I like seeing this type of hypocrisy is that it exposes the unholy union between those who stand for the rich powerfull pro big corporations and those that claim to know god exclusively and would wish to dictate the word of god to all those would believe differently, namely the evangelical Christians. It is hard to tell which side uses whom. In order to control the population, the rich and powerful fully understand that the best way to do this is to divide and conquer. Use the bias that the evangelicals have towards homosexuals, the role and rights of women in society, the fear of people of other cultures and other faiths and split the country in two. While the two sides fight and battle each other, the rich and powerfull can secretly dismantle the middleclass and make themselves more rich and powerful.

Homosexuality is really not that big of a deal. It is just one bias that the powefull use as a pawn. It used to be racism, or sexism, it just now happens to be gays.It is all because of the games that the rich and powerful play in our lives. One side tries to use human prejudice to demonize the actions of the other side and the other side is put in the defensive. The bad thing is that the leaders of both sides are bought and paid for by the rich and powerful. If you look at how money is contributed by the big corporations you will see that they give to both democrats and republican parties. It is in their best interest to continue the culture war, the drug war, you name the war and they want it. It doesn't really matter whether or not Senator Craig had sex in a bathroom or not. Cheating on a spouse is nothing compared to the lies and corruption that it takes to get that high in politics. When you are that powerful it would be easy to believe that you are above the law.

I personally could care less who Senator craig has sex with. The problem I have with Senator Craig is that he uses his power to attempt to make laws that would further the cultural division in our country. He plays a game like every other big political figure by hiding his true self from the rest of us and putting on his public figure face. It just shows that his true allegiance is to the rich and powefull and not to his true self.

Craig is definitely a hypocrite, that is for sure.
