I figured it was a joke, and he probably got her with it. But let me take part of Stoner's comment.

Consider who'll write the history books that will be taught in grade, high and college levels. Consider then the "business" of education and the type of people who enter the field. Finally take into account how history and historians are viewed by so many on the Right.
