Much more he scares for his own presidency. There are a lot of discontented with “democratic” way of development in USA. And no wonder for imho United States are turning into dictatorial police state. They teach us spying one after another. There are no more freedoms of speech and of mass media here. Special Services have shut up many disagreeable journalists that couldn’t believe in it. They even got to Internet and began closing sites where photos of civil Iraqi victims were posted. First suffered yellowtimes.org.
Of course there would be lots of enthusiasts for overthrow Bush’s regime. Because he would reach Stalin’s and Hitler’s level quite soon but his lack of charisma and wit. Those separatist forces are interested in partition of US into several independent states established on true democratic base.
So more Bush’s trembling with fear for his dictator’s “throne”, more scandalous and tyrannical methods he uses under pretence of struggle against terrorists. On this plea his administration is about to screen thousands of people working with charities and nonprofit organizations. But besides data about names addresses and phone numbers of key personnel there is point about their political convictions. Not mentioning such scandalous thing as phone tapping of common Americans and watching after them by satellite.
Yet we can’t see all those measures working against terrorists. But this works well for revelation of “public enemies” or rather enemies of Bush regime.
BTW there are Islamic terrorists acting here. But they are seen by Bush as less challenge than inner separatists. He and his command, they are just sacrifice our safety to solve their own problem.
