I can never settle on one stance on immigration, so I can't decide whether he's good or no.

Even if I agreed with him on this issue, his comment that he would nuke Mecca if the terrorists detonated a nuke on our soil loses my vote. I'm glad he stands no chance of winning the primary.

He's pandering. No more and no less.

And am I really the only one sick of hearing "make English our national language" from politicians and bigots? We stole english folks, we can't really claim it as our own now without looking like fools.

Health Care, Housing, Multiple Wars, Poverty, Taxes, Debt... is debating an official national language really a priority to anyone on Main Street today?

Not to mention that damned fence... come on, it's the dumbest waste of time and money since the bridges to nowhere in Alaska. My dog beats the fence around my yard twice a month without fail, but we're going to build one that desperate people seeking opportunity can't negotiate? Gee, bet the Native American's wish they'd have fenced off those shore lines a few hundred years ago, because that would have stopped us, right?

The immigration issue could be much more effectively brought under control by simply enforcing the laws that already exist against hiring illegals to work for you, and instituting sever penalties on those who broke them.

Start mass-jailing business owners and the wealthy who employ illegals and watch how fast the opportunities for illegals dry up, which in turn would all but stop the flow of illegals across the border.

Then, you'd only have the ones seeking the criminal freedoms that our streets offer coming across, and that would be a much easier problem to manage without all the rest in the way.
