Sorry bout that,
1. But very soon Fred Thompson shall file.
2. Its Time.
3. He has been taking his time, seeing where all his strengths are, and his competitions weaknesses are.
4. Soon he announces his Candidacy.
5. And when that happens, all will be lost for the other contenders.
6. Only one seat will be made available.
7. The Vice's seat.
8. Of all those running, I don't like any of the known Candidates.
9. I think he should bring in an outsider, like Karl Rove.
10. I wonder if Karl Rove would take it?
Regards,
SirJamesofTexas
That dogs too old for the hunt.
You can find him licking his balls on the porch.

Sorry bout that,
1. Great Men always have Great Wives.
2. The Neoliberals trying to lower her to some sort of a bimbo, is under handed.
3. But not unexpected.
4. I am sure she can handle anything that the Neoliberals can throw at her.
5. As well as, *The Next President of the United States, President Thompson*
6. We don't need your vote Bobby the Libertarian.

I'm glad you put used the plural for wife..........because that seems to be the norm for the Republican candidates.:madlaugh:
.......now getting back to the topic......I thought he was going to announce on July 4th? He's going to have some serious catching up to do!

I doubt Rove would have anything to do with this guy. He is not a true Conservative and is a waste. He needs to stay out of it and let the people who will actually win get the supporters and money they need. These people have been in the race from day one and have their heart into it. If it had is heart into it he would have been in from day one as well and not keep putting off an announcement date. This guy is a waste of time, money and effort.
Hes afraid of the debates.
Or just lazy.

I think he's a true neocon. He was the head of Scooter Libby's defense fund and he was a lobbyist for years.

You'll have to forgive me if I too don't trust the judgement of someone who has claimed he would handle Iraq in the same manner as the current Administration.
Aside from that, the draw to Thompson for most people is he is a social conservative among social moderates. I'm a libertarian, so that makes him less attractive to me.

With his little wife Trixie the boob job? You have got to be kidding.
We've had eight years of the clown, we want a candidate with all of his marbles please. Clean cut, presidential looking with a first lady caliber wife (no matter what her number is, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) :madlaugh:

Manyfeathers, you do realize that I am being critical of Thompson, right?
I dislike his as much, and for many of the same reasons as you do.

Hes in some trouble, a complaint was filed with the FEC:
RAW STORY (http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Blogger_files_election_complaint_against_Fred_0821 .html)
**snip**
"Right now [Thompson's] organization is filed as a 527, which is exempt from any regulation whatsoever from the Federal Election Commission," said Hudson. "In fact, he has raised a lot more money than almost everyone running on the Republican side."
Hudson went on to say that he hopes the FEC looks at Thompson with the same scrutiny they gave 2004 presidential candidate Al Sharpton.
"In the 2004 campaign, Al Sharpton had a similar problem," said Hudson, referring to Sharpton's water-testing campaign approach four years ago.
"At the point where Al Sharpton's claim was filed, he'd raised approximately $50,000 or so, and his fine ultimately ended up being $5,600," Hudson continued.
"I hope the FEC will follow through on the complaint...and I hope when they find that [Thompson] did indeed violate the law, that they give a similar fine that they gave to the Sharpton campaign, because the violations are very similar."
Hmmmmm.........already skirting the law, too lazy to actually get out and campaign.......sounds like a promising candidate. Maybe he doesn't want to give up all the residuals he's collecting for L&O any sooner than he has to.

Sorry NC - the comment above is what knee jerked me into my comment. 'Social conservative' - not hardly. To me, a conservative would keep the original wife, the one with manners and taste, and have the boob job mistress on the side. Very European - yes?
After the story about whatshername the hoochie momma, running his campaign, I see only a foolish old man who is probably getting head everyday. That will make a man go insane. Yup.
I see only a foolish old man who is probably getting head everyday. ewwwww....

:lmao: :madlaugh:
Don't think the picture is right though - he most certainly closes his eyes tightly and probably taps on his pacemaker, or at least clutches his heart. Frankly, the old boy doesn't look like he has many more miles on him.
Dang and Manyfeathers.......if I didn't already give you rep......I would for this conversation!:madlaugh::clapper:

Sorry 'bout nothin'
1) But If FDT joins the fray
2) He will have no spare time to attack the " neo-liberals ".
3) For he will be preoccupied defening himself against attacks from his fellow Republican running mates.
4) I suspect that none are too pleased that FDT is hiding in the shadows while all the heavy lifting is getting done.
5) Alas, poor Fred will not survive the fracas.
CWN- Chess is played ONE move at a time- not the 3 to 5 which you are used to.

Sorry bout that,
1. But I have never witnessed so much support for a man who isn't officially running yet.
2. He is a shoe in.
3. Alls thats left is who will be his running mate?
4. I am starting to like Tom Tancredo.
5. Tom will fight *Evil Islam*, as we all know they need to be beat down, like weeds.

CWN clearly forgets about Eisenhower, over whom both the republicans and democrats fought to get to see who was going to nominate him. Eisenhower looks better and better as time goes on.
But you have my permission to hold onto your fantasies about Ugly Fred. :madlaugh:

Eisenhower
Huh??? Did someone dig Ike up?
I did in response to Cheesy's claim that the publicans were about ready to draft Ugly Fred. And I added a note that in retrospect his presidency looks better than it did at the time.

I remember Eisenhower - a little. I like Ike - was on the buttons. Of course, I was just a tot. "Ugly Fred" :lmao:
Old Fred does look like about ten miles of bad road - must be that young thang he's married to.
