I would be willing to debate with anyone that we do need a moderator specifically for this area, because a lot of people have asked to start a debate and none appear to have gotten underway. If any current moderators would like to debate with me on this issue, we can take this issue up in the year 2037, I suggest summertime.

Yeah, what the hell. TaP and I asked for our Cuba debate to start like 2 weeks ago, whats the hold up?

Not to make excuses, but I don't know how to do it. I will however post in the mod section and learn. I was the one that pushed for this and I really want to see it get off the ground.

Alright I will either assign a person to be in charge of Debate-Off or I will make rule changes. Most likely ask someone to take charge of this area.

So what exactly is holding this up? What do we need to get these things going? Once we get a few of these going, I think we will really see these things take off. Just think about all of the hits these things will bring in Lab, hot button issues with posts specifically designed with talking points to prove the posters position.

I've seen it done on one other forum. You're right, it does bring in more people, in fact that's how I started posting on that forum, from a search and after reading the interesting discussion, with no insults I decided to join......of course it wasn't the same on some of the other threads, but it does get attention.

I hereby volunteer to be a moderator ONLY for this area, until a replacement is found.

Professor has been designated the moderator for the Debate Off. I have created a new group for her. The DOC (Debate Off Crew) which has moderator access to Debate Off and access to staff area. We may add another person to the group depending on how things go.

This Debate Off is still a new idea and we are still trying to successfully pull it off. Please be patient.
