View Full Version : Should I vote for Hillary?

As the GOP front runners look weaker and weaker I have to really think who would I vote for. Ron Paul is imho a good choice but will he have enough steam to win. Rudy wants war so he is out. McCain is a pawn now. So let me look left...hmm...Barack..maybe...Hillary..hmm...maybe. So if I have to choose between Hillary or Barack...crap...I myself may have to vote Hillary.
If I am being honest about stuff I believe that Hillary is probably more Republican than Democrat in her policies. However she spouts leftist propaganda all day long that doesn't change how she votes and her policies.
I wish she would speak more about exactly what good she would do for Americans instead of sitting in the middle on a lot of issues.

If you want a socialist who listens to polls in office, then Hellary....I mean Hillary is the one.

Hillary Clinton is probably the most likely one in the democratic party who won't simply pack up and leave Iraq without doing much to limit violence. She's the most Republican in that sense. At the same time, I think there's a lot less risk of her causing future conflicts than their would be with the likes of Giuliani.
So you're not holding out for Thompson?
It's way too early for me to make up my mind yet, but I am convinced that Hillary will win the primaries. The more I listen to her, the more she does make sense and her experience in the White House is a big plus. All of her "baggage" is already out in the open, so I don't see any deep dark secrets coming out as they would with any other candidate. She also holds some of the same viewpoints as Richardson, who I honestly would vote for, if he would just break out of his shell and be assertive.
I still like Obama's stance on things, but one thing he did promise way back in the begining of this whole thing was he wasn't going to sling mud and he already has done that. I'm also keeping my eye on Edwards and I honestly think Paul just might have a chance......but then I'm still bothered by those rascist statements.
If someone would just break from the pack and run Independent, then I think I'd be more excited. I can say I honestly haven't been excited about a candidate since Anderson. Ever since then, I've held my nose and pulled the lever.
I'd also be worried about the "Dynasty factor", if Bush wasn't so different from his father and Hillary seems different from Bill.

I really don't understand why so many cons call Senator Clinton a "socialist." She's about the most right-leaning of ANY of the democratic candidates. I have to conclude that the motivation is fear. The publicans don't really have a strong candidate who doesn't have serious problems with one voting bloc or another in their party, so they try to distract attention from their weakness by dissing the democratic candidate they fear the most.
She's not my first choice, but I'd have no problem supporting her if she wins the nomination.

I would trust Kucinich over Hillary
At least he isn't a fat liar.

"fat liar," huh?? Son, you're really reaching. Not that it's a surprise or anything.
PS: I like Kucinich's positions on practically everything better than I like Clinton's. But getting elected is the point.

Labrocca, is it important to vote for a winner?
Or do you wish to vote for the lesser of evils?
Or do you want to elect someone who will contend for your actual political positions?

Personally I think it's most important to vote for the person most likely to accomplish your goals. That often means voting for the lesser evil, since otherwise you aid the greater evil.

Bush is not, nor ever, going to be on the ballot again. (EVER)
Dems, start running your campaigns on your principles, not on your hatred for Bush.

Changing the topic again, I see. Oh, well. In the minds of some, it's impossible to admit a mistake. Sad.

A woman president is just what I want, not sure about Hillary though.
I have to wonder what makes a woman stay with a man who is a notorious f***stick. Where is her sense of pride? It seems to me, that Hillary would appear much stronger had she launched herself into the political arena without Billygoat.
And about WJC - he was a horndog, but he was no fool. He was smart, just not when it came to his winky.

Yes.
I never understood why NOW, and the fems stood by Hill when she was an obvious enabler to Bill's predilections.
The whole basis to modern feminism is that you do not need a man to succeed.
Hillary flies in the face of that supposition..

It could have to do with a pact they made back then, but there are times when I see the two of them together and you can see the love. Women forgive, girls don't.

It's not important I vote for the winner but certainly I don't like tossing my vote to the wind. When it comes to politics I am getting more and more convinced it's all just evil and there is no "lesser".
What I want is someone that has the chance to get a few things done I would agree with. As much as I HATE to admit this. The more I think about things and view Hillary the more I see she either won't accomplish things I don't agree with OR she will get a few things done I do agree with. So that's an electable person to me.
Why dislike a candidate on a stance that doesn't have a cold-day in hell chance of passing?
And yes...if Hillary is viewed with an open eye...she is more Republican than John McCain.
Thompson...hmm..he is a maybe still. I hope that Ron Paul does better but if he can't get over 20% then I won't bother to vote for him.
Hillary is now a possible for me. You can blame Bush for this crap.

It amazes me how quickly we have forgotten that Hillary has been running to the center since 2004...
Anyway.
I could never vote for Hillary, personally. I still remember her leftish alter ego that she has abandoned. In addition, there is no doubt in my mind that the only Presidential candidate that will reduce the scope and size of the Federal Government is Ron Paul. So this is an easy decision for me to make.

Well, for openers, you called Senator Clinton a socialist. She isn't and you know it. I'm willing to call that a mistake instead of a deliberate lie. Your choice, boyo!

I am just taking an honest look at the candidates, what their platforms are, and how they would benefit me. The choices aren't pretty.
I vote the issues where I can. I also believe that most candidates aren't truthful. Often they say or do things just to get elected. Hillary is certainly that type but imho..would she make a good President...I am starting to believe so only because the rest seem to be more crap.
Ron Paul...I would love to see him get more points on the rest and become a legitimate candidate.
