Thats a pretty old vid. Several years on, there is still no running water for the Iraqis.
Did the soldiers feel all big and tough after?

As far as I can tell the video is from september 06. That's when all the internet blog sites seem to mention it anyway. I never saw it before though.

It should be noted that there are morons in EVERY gathering. I would suggest that you also point out the actions of a couple of clowns are not indicative of the works of the whole.

I would suggest that if the soldiers did not get punished for being so despicable, then we have no reason to believe it's not indicative of the works of the whole.
War is disgusting. This video is disgusting. The only way to stop disgusting behavior is to end the war, a war that should never have been waged in the first place.

It's all good, Boogy. Some libs just can't help themselves and attampt to potray US soldiers as evil any chance they get.
Zo, would you mind doing me a favor? Could you paste for me a link to any threads where you posted videos or pictures of American soldiers doing good deeds?
Or do you just like to show US soldiers in bad light?

It is a vital piece of information, did the Iraqi citizens have access to running water at the time? If they did, then they were just playing with the kids, like any kid in the US would play in a sprinkler.

You would wrong and using faulty logic. You don't know whether or not it was dealt with and therefore chose to believe it is indicative of the whole based on your desire for it so to be. You also assume that someone in a position to be able to do something about it knew of its existence and ignored it. More faulty logic.
Their parents must be so proud![hr]

????
A couple differences here Professor. It was mentioned by a person (I won't even call him a soldier) in the truck that the kids were chasing them for 2 miles and I don't see too much water being sprayed on the children. The other difference is, that soldiers have been told NOT to throw candy or anything else to the children as it makes them a target for the insurgents........which is why after many attacks on children this practice was stopped.

I agree with your second statement, but respectfully disagree with the first. If those soldiers did not get punished (and I do not know for sure that they didn't) - then the administration is incompetent, or just doesn't care. . . Either way, that doesn't mean all the soldiers think the way these guys did.
Boogy's right - there are idiots in every organization, and the Army is no different.

You're right. Even when I typed it, I wasn't sure I believed it. War makes people do shitty things.
We really have to get our troops out of there.
The Iraqi government is on vacation. The US government is on vacation.
Our troops on the battleground don't get a vacation. They don't even get a day off.
Agreed 100 percent - the troops need to come home.
Iraq will likely completely implode when they do, but that's bound to happen anyway.

Great post bookmarked for later :D

Iraqis haven't had reliable access to electricity or clean, running water since the US bombed their infrastructure to smithereens.

Did any of you geniuses bother to count the WATER PUDDLES these "thirsty" children ran through?
Could any of you geniuses please explain to me how there's water puddles all around these "thirsty" children?
Could any of you geniuses estimate the distance a "thirsty" human being could sprint?
Not being a brain dead moron, all I saw was regular, normal, human children chasing a truck full of soldiers. Just because, because children are full of energy and curiousity, especially in the wake of being liberated.Similar footage exists fro every population US soldiers have liberated.
And what I witness here is either a bunch of traitorous dishonest Michael Moore types promulgating enemy propaganda, or pathetic morons fooled by enemy propaganda.
Pathetic.
Really, any of you geniuses able to count? At least tot he number of fingers on your hand? Would some one please count the number of water puddles we see in that video? Would some one please explain to me how "thirst" and these puddles are existing at the same place at the same time?

Jack, why don't you go outside and gather water from pubbles you find on the ground. After living off that for a day come back here and tell us your experiences, assuming you're not in the hospital or dead that is.

They're just running jack, right? Then why does the kid stop when the water is thrown out?
And again, do you want to take my challenge? Go out and drink the water you find in street puddles. I think you'd enjoy a nice water/oil/bacteria cocktail.

Jack, as someone who was in Baghdad I can tell you what the "water" in those puddles is. Let's just say that waste management and sewage disposal in Iraq is not as technological as ours is.
Also, Baghdad is not in a desert. Central and Northern Iraq (which includes Baghdad) is more like a savannah or a veldt. There's plenty of water and even alot of rain in the non-summer months. Unfortunately due to our actions during the war and insurgent actions since the war, there isn't enough CLEAN water.

Well gee boys and girls this all really neat.
But your problem is non of alonzo's initial assertions are supported at all by what he provides us.
It's up to alonzo to support "thirst."
"thirsty" people don't SPRINT 3 CITY BLOCKS!!!
And those did not appear to be puddles of PISS, they were WATER puddles, water systems have an in and an out. If the puddles are from the out it came in some how some way.
The video appears unaltered, it's alonzo's story, the sentence that sets up the lie, the illusion, that's at issue here geniuses.[hr]"Soldiers playing "Chase the water" with some thirsty kids:"
Sorry, that's an unsupported assertion at best, a traitorous lie more likely.

At least it was working before everything got blown up.
