Tim Chapman at townhall.com (http://www.townhall.com/blogs/capitolreport/TimChapman/story/2006/06/21/202195.html) points out the following quote from John Kerry during the 2003 runup to the presidential election.
In fact, I fear that in the run-up to the 2004 election, the administration is considering what is tantamount to a cut-and-run strategy. Their sudden embrace of accelerated Iraqification and American troop withdrawal dates, without adequate stability, is an invitation to failure. The hard work of rebuilding Iraq must not be dictated by the schedule of the next American election…It would be a disaster and a disgraceful betrayal of principle to speed up the process simply to lay the groundwork for a politically expedient withdrawal of American troops. That could risk the hijacking of Iraq by terrorist groups and former Ba’athists.
So now lets see, wasn't it John Kerry who just got shot down in the senate with a "cut and run" bill?
Democrats, please please please run this moron for president again in 2008.
Hmmm........

Rastaman, as usual you didn't read the actual post before writing something that made no sense whatsoever in response. :P
Its answers like these with no substantiation that make your posts so entertaining.

John Kerry cares only for John Kerry, and his ultimate goal is to sit in the White House. This started way back in the 60's -- Kerry joined the Navy because he felt being a veteran would improve his chances in politics, but the Navy would be the safest of the services (after all, there WAS a war going on). At the time he went to PBRs they were patrolling the coast intercepting suspicious lighters, it was shortly thereafter that PBRs were being sent up-river to intercept sampams. As the antiwar movement gained popularity among college students (voters!), Kerry made his grandstand play by throwing away his medals. His political career has been characterized by hypocrisy, double-dealing, and flip-flopping when it becomes politically expedient. Say what you will about the current President, at least he is consistent. BTW, I believe he has stated his exit policy -- the troops will remain until the Iraqis are have a government and are capable of protecting themselves. It's too bad the AP doesn't have a dual "scoreboard": one for the terrorists killed alongside the current count of Americans killed.
