Very nice.

Dr. Paul, if nothing else, has a motivated, mobile internet contingent largely consistant of libertarian college students.

Good stuff.

He would be the first Republican I've ever voted for, for President. I agree with him on all of those issues, real ID, patriot act, internet regulation, taxes, MCA and the war. I'm actually surprised he calls himself a conservative, he seems more like a progressive to me. He is similar to Russ Feingold, the best Senator in congress, on all of these issues.

I'm very happy to hear that, Viola. Paul is essentially a textbook libertarian and my ideological clone with the exception of maybe one or two issues. He calls himself a conservative, obviously, as an appeal to Republican primary voters.

True Conservatism and Libertarianism aren't that far apart. There just aren't many true Conservatives left in the Republican Party. They've gone too far to the right, just as Democrats have gone too far to the left. Unfortunately, I think Dr. Paul wouldn't be able to accomplish much as President, though he may inspire True Conservatives, Libertarians, and Independents in Congress to step up and push some things through. Come on Fair Tax!!! Repeal the income tax!!!

I'd buy some of those yard signs if they weren't so expensive.

I can try to find you cheeper, but i think that 45 $ for 10 signs (4,5$=1 sign) is one of the best price what i can find.

You can allways do a sign by yourself.

Ok, here´s a place where you can get a sign with the 3 $

I don't in any way mean to belittle students, but what exactly is their past voting record?

As for the polls, free republic manipulates polls at will. A famous example occurred after the 2000 election, where they freeped a poll that got on national news as showing 80 or 90% of americans wanted gore to concede defeat. Considering the bombardment of polls even on our tiny site, by paul supporters who sign up solely to vote, I have a harm to believing they're not doing it elsewhere.

Also, considering this post is purely to advertise a product for purchase, it seems like ads may be a more suitable spot.

Northeast - how do you feel about Russ Feingold? He seems to have a lot in common with Ron Paul and yet he is a Progressive.

I'm not libertarian or a college student....he's motivated me and my friends and family... and only half of them are connected to the internet...what do you call us?

Northeast - how do you feel about Russ Feingold? He seems to have a lot in common with Ron Paul and yet he is a Progressive. Hey Viola,
Let me put it this way. I don't love Feingold, but I don't dislike him...He's alright by me; we agree 50% of the time. I like his stance on most social issues [abortion, gay rights, PATRIOT ACT, Death penalty, etc.] but disagree with him regarding health care, taxation in general, campaign finance, gun ownership and immigration. So as I said, he's okay by me...Certainly somone I respect when I disagree with him. And I don't respect many members of Congress.

I'm not libertarian or a college student....he's motivated me and my friends and family... and only half of them are connected to the internet...what do you call us? A thing of beauty. I'm very happy to hear from someone who doesn't fit the Paul supporter stereotype, qedtanya. I meant no offense in my categorization of Paul supporters; I meant only to say that Paul has a large contigent of college supporters, that isn't to say that there aren't others, such as yourself who don't fit that mold. What about Dr. Paul turned you on to him, if you don't mind me asking?

My points was that winning the support of students isn't worth nearly as much come election time. It looks good, and they're passionate campaigners, but on voting day historically they just don't show up.

My answer:

NC,

A lot of things did. His stance on health care, his stance on the IRS, his stance (or abstinance from) on the CFR, his stance on the Department of Ed (I'm a teacher too!) among many things. This country has gone too far in the direction of letting whoever has the bucks control things and I'm sick and tired of it and wanted someone who was willing to stand up for what he/she believed in and Dr. Paul is that person. All the rest (in my opinion and I'm not saying that anyone else has to agree with me) are wafflers, CFR members (can be easily proven), liars, etc. Clinton, being female you'd think I'd want to vote for her huh? No way in freaking hell. We've had enough of the Bush/Clinton combo! Obama, well generally speaking, he's probably a good guy but as I've already gotten into a debate about him with another member of this great forum site, needless to say that I believe with all my heart that he is a liar after hearing him speak personally. Edwards is running on the mere fact that his wife has cancer, and I could go on and on about the rest of the candidates but won't because it's late and I'm tired. Anyway, Dr. Paul has a great record in Congress, stands up for what he believes in and doesn't back down when pushed - I like that and think that if more people stood up for what they believed in here in this country, that the moneymongerers like Rupert Murdoch, the Rockerfellers, the Donald Trumps, etc., wouldn't have a chance. Which is only one of the reasons that I'm in charge of the auction this weekend in San Antonio at the fundraiser/rally for Dr. Paul. I can't wait to meet him in person!

I don't believe that Dr. Paul has a shot in hell at winning...well, anything. I'm simply saying it's nice to see someone who's energized young people as much as he has without the war chest of an Obama.

Qedtanya:
That's great to hear, and you're very lucky to be able to meet him in person. He hasn't been in my neck of the woods at all, I'm still waiting for him to come to Boston.

I'm sure he'll get there! Anything you want me to ask him or do for you - get a book or something? A picture? :)
