A recently launched site, http://www.myverdict.net, is an excercise in direct democracy. Covering over 25,000 administrative divisions in all 244 inhabited countries, it seeks the majority opinion on every issue, in every community, from local level to international. There is now no reason to think that 'politicians cannot listen to everybody'.
At myverdict.net, users can post questions and reasoned, coherent arguments, vote and even change their vote should the arguments persuade. Results are live and ongoing.
