Who would you vote for?

I'll have to go for the 2 long shots. Bill Richardson if I vote Democrat and Ron Paul if I vote Republican.

Why isn't Richardson on your list? He's got the best resume of any candidate in the democratic field?

Barack Obama for President.

Richandson is definitely on the short list for VP.
He is keeping his head down so as not to offend anyone and queer his chances.
He's kind of milquetoast anyway.

I think Kucinich is the best bet to win in 08.

Fred Thompson.

Currently at the top of the Ramussen Poll for the Republican Nomination.

Ron Paul all the way.....Fred Thompson isn't even running AND does not have the experience necessary to make a good leader. The ONLY reason that people want to vote for him is because they think his Law & Order persona is going to save us like Reagan did. Fred Thompson has NOTHING on good old Ron....

Yup. It's a sad fact that most Americans put name recognition and celebre over their political future without checking their resumes. I'm convinced that if Paris Hilton were to run also, it would be a neck and neck race between her and Fred Thompson.

I love how people vote for who is most popular in the MSM polls, while totally ignoring their political stances.....lol.... thats why this country is slouching towards Gomorrah...

Man she's AWFUL!!! I wouldn't vote for her if she was the ONLY Republican or Independent running!! I'd have to do something I've never done before and abstain from voting (unless there was actually a Dem running that I thought was worth it)

Currently at the top of the Ramussen Poll for the Republican Nomination.
Giuliani leads most of the polls. Here is a list of all of them, with the average showing Guiliani with a 5 point spread.

Ya, but it's not as off as it looks, look at paul: bobbylien, chip@dvogel.com, crud3w4re, DisabledVet, Dove, ds2sw, hells_unicorn, jpa, kaleowao, Pepsi, qednick, qedtanya, qwerty

Bobby is the only reg who voted for him, and qwerty just posts ron paul ads. Don't know any of the others. Kinda sad that people would create an account just to vote in a poll, especially since it's not like we're CNN or anything.

I only had just found these forums when I voted in this poll. If you look up my nickname, you'll see that I've been posting quite a bit in different areas since I joined. I can't speak for the rest of them (except qednick because, if you're quick to catch on, you'll notice that we are related) but I didn't just join to post in this poll, I joined because it was something different and interesting and I get to talk to others who have different viewpoints.

I like Dr. Paul. I will vote for him for various reasons. That doesn't mean that I can't get into friendly discussions or debates with others who have differing viewpoints, does it? I'm not one of those "spammers" who can't respect others' opinions. :)

And thank you for your participation. I do value your opinion (even if I don't agree) and appreciate the fact that you have decided to stay.

My point was that the bulk of people who chose paul did nothing else. One guy even managed to get in and out in 1 minute 1 second. The poll is not a reflection of the opinion of democracy forums due to that.

I'm going to vote Edwards, but I'd consider Paul.

The problem is that because $$$ is such a part of our system it's going to be Clinton or Obama vs. Rudy or Mitt. So once again it will be choosing the of the lesser of two evils.

Whether Democrat or Republican, neither side feels that the BEST candidate has a chance.

It's only too bad more people in the US don't know about these forums.
