When the Democrats win two thirds of both houses, as well as putting Evita in the White House, they will tell us all to keep some of what we earn for ourselves. As for me, I cannot wait for the joyous news that part of what I earn is mine to spend. However, we will still have to give some to the States, Counties, Cities and districts offering government services. Regardless, they tell us we can spend the rest any way we like, just as long as it does not support churches or talk shows who offend government and the Democrats. When we are through celebrating this message of good fortune, we still have to figure out how to pay ordinary living costs.

When the Democrats win? It should be if the Democrats win.

We're really going to miss those pinch-a-penny republicans that have been saving us all money for the past 8 years.

Evita!:D

When she's done taking industry's profits, Evita is coming after yours. Waiving a sign saying that you voted Dem won't save you from confiscatory taxes.

I think Evita will circle America down the drain towards Eurosocialism. A failed system. But who cares! She won't be effected by it, elite libs are exempt. Long live the queen.

And Queen Evita will convince all the leftist morons that republicans are the tax and spend people (though they did a lot of spending lately, which cost them the support of their own party) and that republicans hated the balanced budget amendment. It appears that history, for them, goes no further back than when Bush the Second came into the White House, and before that Democrats were simply liberty-loving 10th Amendment types. Ignorance is really bliss for many people, I guess.

Yeah, before Bush II were the good old days of conservatism, trickle up, up, up and away economics with Raygun leading the charge into, at that time, the biggest deficit in US history. Hey but george II sure showed him eh? hahaha... you republicans don't know HOW to act like conservatives. Stop frontin' and start over.

How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

Good one. Heh, heh, heh...The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes.

Oh good grief! Contrary to popular republican opinion, ronald reagan was not God in the flesh.

and btw.. he was a likable man, but he was a criminal too. Iran-Contra ring a bell? He enabled and supported saddamn hussein and his regime (Rummys warm fuzzy pic with saddam anyone??) and armed him with those chemical weapons used on the Kurds and over 100,000 Iranians. Get the hell outta town! And in the latter years of his Presidency he was not quite operating at full tilt. No disrespect intended.

Please don't sanctify reagan. He was just a man and made many mistakes, though I have more respect for him than the Bush-Cheney regimes, both of them.

During the summer of 1981 the central focus of policy debate was on the Economic Recovery Tax Act (ERTA) of 1981, the Reagan tax cuts. The core of this proposal was a version of the Kemp-Roth bill providing a 25 percent across-the-board cut in personal marginal tax rates. By reducing marginal tax rates and improving economic incentives, ERTA would increase the flow of resources into production, boosting economic growth. Opponents used static revenue projections to argue that ERTA would be a giveaway to the rich because their tax payments would fall.

The Reagan tax cuts, like similar measures enacted in the 1920s and 1960s, showed that reducing excessive tax rates stimulates growth, reduces tax avoidance, and can increase the amount and share of tax payments generated by the rich. High top tax rates can induce counterproductive behavior and suppress revenues, factors that are usually missed or understated in government static revenue analysis. Furthermore, the key assumption of static revenue analysis that economic growth is not affected by tax changes is di sproved by the experience of previous tax reduction programs. There is little reason to expect static revenue analysis to evaluate the economic or distributional effects of current tax reform proposals much better than it evaluated the Reagan tax program 15 years http://www.house.gov/jec/fiscal/tx-grwth/reagtxct/reagtxct.htm

So, Pseudanim, everyone who does not take the same position you take is a criminal? Who has control of your brain? It is obvious you do not. Suggest you take it back and use some common sense for a change. Sorry, I am sinking to the level of a raving liberal name-caller, but your calling people criminals who disagree with you is off the wall. Please tell me who you think is not? Is it Evita? Bill? Who?
