I was so POed at CNN, I could hardly watch it.
The candidates were good in general, Except McCain, but I am bigoted against him.
IMO...
Immigration: Hunter and Tancredo.
Terrorism: Guillianni.
Religion: Huckabee, Romney.
Taxes: Ron Paul
Insanity: McCain
Getting in Wolf's fat face and telling him that his questions are full of sh*t: Guilliani, Huck, Hunter, Gill, Romney, Paul, Tancredo, McCain, .:D

Giuliani did a good job tonight, with the exception of his nonsensical answer to the question regarding whether or not he'd go to war in Iraq knowing what he knows now. McCain is an idiot, enough said. Ron Paul did a decent job tonight, although I feel as though he should talk up his conservative credentials [small gov't, low taxes] instead of harping on Iraq. Tom Tancredo was brilliant in his response to the question of the capacity he would use this President in his Administration. Tommy Thompson is by far the least intelligent of the Republicans and he proved that today. Romney wast just okay, not terrific, not terrible. Overall, it was a decent debate, not great, but most candidates answered most questions in an up-front way. I could've done without all the fear-mongering, but it is the Republican Party.

I especially liked Paul's strong endorsement of Federalism.
I truely believe our Fed Gov has too much power and controll over our daily lives.

Amen to that. As I said though, I wish Paul spoke more about his stances on domestic issues. He'd be able to separate himself from the pack more effectively.

I agree, Wolf hardly gave him much of a chance though. The heavyweights grandstanded a bit and sucked up the oxygen, but hey, that's what they're supposed to do. The last thing the big dogs want is to let anyone else shine.
I found it interesting that the first question Wolf asked was designed to run cover for Hillary's admission, on Sunday, that she didn't read the National Security Estimate before she cast her vote authorizing force in Iraq. The only one who actually read it was Rudy, and he's not even in Congress!
The second question asked went something like this..."How much do you hate Bush?"

"There was no reason for us to go there (Iraq), so there's no reason for us to stay there"
That was my favorite Ron Paul line all night. Epic.

What did CNN do wrong?
For example,

and it went on from there..
IMO the questions were disigned to hurt the candidates with their base more than elicit answers and info, and give aid and comfort to the Dems, especially Mrs. Bill Clinton.
"Would you pardon Libby?" "Yes or no?" As soon as the candidates tried to explain that the investigation was a witch-hunt, Wolf got very agitated and cut them off poste haste. Can't have that.
I hope that's the last time the lib press asks Romney about his religion, because he hit it out of the park.
At least the Republicans have the guts to appear on such an obvious organ of the Democrat party as CNN, while the Dems won't go on FNC which is a fair network. Since the lib point of view is correct, discussing any other point of view is sacrilege.
You never see both sides on CNN because they have an agenda, you do on FOX and that's why they have the ratings. What are the Dems afraid of??? Not good to have the leader of the free world scared of an American news network, is it? What are they going to do when confronted with hard questions concerning our national security and foriegn policy, run away and hide under their bed? Sure doesn't instill confidence in them with me.

The Dems are secretly jealous of Chavez and his ability to shut down opoisition.
This to me is plain as day.

First of all your contention that FOX is fair and balanced and CNN is not is wacky.
But on this point quoted, why shouldn't they all be asked if they read the intelligence report on Iraq before declaring war on Iraq? It's a logical question.
Don't you want to know the truth?

I see your point, but why that particular question with such little time and immediate relivance? Don't you find it interesting that that was the one major issue Hill took the biggest hit on during the Dem debates? They are running cover. I don't believe in coincidences when it comes to the lib media.
Imo, CNN and 90% of the tv and print media is in the tank for the Democrat party.
Why do you think the libs Hate FNC with a white hot passion?
Because it presents both points of view. That is very dangerous to socialists and leftists, just ask Chavez.

Nice conspiracy you got there. 90%, eh? Got any, you know, oh whats the word...
Oh yeah! Proof. Got any of that? Or is all the proof also controlled by the Democrats?

THE ARGUMENT over whether the national press is dominated by liberals is over. Since 1962, there have been 11 surveys of the media that sought the political views of hundreds of journalists. In 1971, they were 53 percent liberal, 17 percent conservative. In a 1976 survey of the Washington press corps, it was 59 percent liberal, 18 percent conservative. A 1985 poll of 3,200 reporters found them to be self-identified as 55 percent liberal, 17 percent conservative. In 1996, another survey of Washington journalists pegged the breakdown as 61 percent liberal, 9 percent conservative. Now, the new study by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found the national media to be 34 percent liberal and 7 percent conservative.
This year, roughly 75 percent of the stories about the Democratic presidential candidates were positive. For Bush, they've been 60-plus percent negative.

. Pew: Five Times More Journalists Are Liberal Than Conservative
Journalists at national media outlets are more liberal and less conservative than nine years ago, and while in 1995 they were upset that the media were too critical of President Clinton, they are now disturbed that the media are going too easy on President Bush, a just-released survey conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found. Five times more national outlet journalists identify themselves as liberal, 34 percent, than conservative, a mere 7 percent. The poll also discovered that while the reporters, editors, producers and executives have a great deal of trouble naming a “liberal†news outlet, they had no problem seeing a “conservative†outlet, with an incredible 69 percent readily naming the Fox News Channel.

It is obvious to even a casual observer that the media is overwhelmingly pro Dem and anti Bush.
