Who else thinks alimony is unfair. Just because the dependant ex-spouse isn't used actually working, doesn't mean that they should get paid for that by their ex. Rewarding people because they're not 'used to working and they can't find a job' isn't fair.
What do you think

But what if the ex-spouse was left with lets say 5 little children, and it's like a full time job when you are all alone?
And besides aren't the alimony paid for the kids and not the spouse?

It should pay for the kids...
If a couple break up...whether or not they are living in the home, they'd be paying/raising their child anyway. As long as the support is there for the kids, nothing else should be an issue. If the women was a stay at home mom-well depending on the circumstances -how many kids - health issues etc...then, time to go to work and support the family now. It's one thing to be a stay at home mom when there is a dad working. But when that stops happening.....time to move on and be the bread winner!!!
