There are too many falwell topics, but this one is different. I want to gauge the overall opinion on DF to his death. Responses are anonymous, so no one will condemn any opinion.

So then just vote and give no opinion.? Ok.;) I'll wait until a decent mourning period is over before I give my opinion.

Since I turn 72 in a week, I'm just hoping I manage to live longer than he did. On the other hand, he went the right way--quickly.

As to his religious views, I'm sorry he was so misguided, but he was my favorite bad example, and now I can't pick on him.

Not to sway votes, but here another few choice quotes from Jerry:

"If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being."

“Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions”

Daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. dies

ATLANTA - Yolanda King, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s eldest child who pursued her father's dream of racial harmony through drama and motivational speaking, collapsed and died after making a speech. She was 51.

I voted "Not sad he is dead, but I don't like the grief that it brings to his loved one".

Anyone that has ever experienced a death in the family of someone they cared for should understand that one.

Theres someone worthy of recognition.
If Falwell was actually sincere in his beliefs then I feel sorry for him and his wasted life. I still think the world is much better without him though.

No comment? Is it bacause she was black? A woman? Or that her daddy was an adulterer? Why was she a 'great woman'?

I don't see anyone saying she was a "great woman" only deserving of recognition. She served on the partnership council for Habitat for Humanity and did many film works that were moving.

I can't imagine your didsain for her to comment the way you are, but hey feel free to look like an ass.

Wow.

Oedipus is anti-Martin Luther King.

That's a popular position to hold. Shows good judgment.

Well he is a Falwell fan, but unlike Falwell he doesn't seem to have changed his mind on MLK over time.

I voted for the last option. I don't want to pick up the habbit of wishing people dead, but if I had to pick one, it would have been Dr. Dobbeson and not him but I'll take what I can get.
