View Full Version : New Organization I'm creating
Being a teen, I am wanting to create an organization called the Young Christian Republicans Organization (sorry ECW...) . I have four other founders, and we are currently creating the foundation and laying it out. anyone who is interested or who want to find out more, visit the site at
http://ycro.tripod.com/
the age range is from Middle School to College. I know it is a large age range, but the rest of the founders and I will set restrictions and regulations. Even though we include such a large range, please check out the site anyway. we are trying to see how many responses we get. thanks,
J

No need to tie your faith to the Republican party. The republican party has been using and manipulating people based on their faith to get votes for some time now. I'm not sure why anyone would want to be a party to that nor allow themselves to be influenced by it.
As a Christian you have the great commandments given by Jesus:
Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
And the great commission also:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age

Even though I am an athiest democrat I have to agree, you would have more sucess targeting one group instead of trying to target the overlap of two groups. With that age group you want, I would suggest going to the religious route. But what would you have to offer that church youth groups wouldn't?
This is for Christian Republicans. if you are not a Christian Rebublican, please do not respond. I know what the lord says. The Republican Party for the most part currently fits more with Chrisianity. But that is for another conversation. I thank the democrats and independants for thier imput.

I looked at your site, here were my impressions:
I liked the background picture.Â*Â*It was very nice.
The cross, the black and white one, I would take it down.Â*Â*It's very bland and makes your home page look amature, especially when that background makes it so cool.Â*Â*And what is the lyon doing there?
I didn't like how you would be the christian republicans supporting the canidate.Â*Â*You would be severly limiting yourself, especially now before the primaries.Â*Â*Maybe a page on each canidate and their thoughts on faith related issues.Â*Â*Be sure to include sources.
I liked any street, anytown, usa 12345.Â*Â*That was witty.
On your Mission page you say you are based in Grnbury, TX.Â*Â*
On the mission page, your republican elephant image looks fuzzy.Â*Â*I'd suggest either making it smaller so it's clearer or finding a bigger picture so it turns out better.
On the mission page you say the site is for teens not middle school through college.
For the events page you have nothing.Â*Â*I'd put something on there, even if it is getting new pages for the site, just so you look like you are heading somewhere.
On the events page, I really liked the angel picture.
The biggest complaint I have would be the lack of anything to do on the site.Â*Â*There is no shout out box, forum, messgae board, greeting box, games, video diaries of the founders and members or anything.Â*Â*There is no interaction.Â*Â*The key to getting people to keep comming back to your site is giving them a reason to.Â*Â*You can't keep the updates going up that fast, so let other people do the work for you.Â*Â*
Games- Biblical knowledge quizs, political knowledge quizs, which caniadate best suits you, ect.Â*Â*Make banners people can put on their myspace.
I realize you guys are still begining, but I wanted to throw my ideas out anyway.Â*Â*I'm not making these comments as a democrat or an athiests but as someone who viewed the site.
Its a free website, so I diddnt have a lot of freedom. I need to get my "a" key fixed, because it sticks.
thanks for your imput. I needed an editor. I must have missed those details...

I used to own a site through tripod. What I did is have different pages as separate pages and then linked them to my homepage. This way I wasn't limited to the number they allowed me to have.
The other think I did was run all my text though a word document for spell check before posting it.
I already passed the link onto a few people and I will send it out to a few more tonight.
Best of luck.

I know what the lord says.
Did he say to go out and spread the gospel of the goodness of the Republican party?
The Republican Party for the most part currently fits more with Christianity.
There are way too many pharasitical individuals in that party who use the Lord for worldly political gain. It makes me sick. Jesus should not be a political tool to get people elected.
Matthew 23:27
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matthew 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
There has been a Mixup. Our founders have not met yet, and I misinterpreted what our name was, so I had to delete hours of work and redo them. sorry for your inconvieniance
