Conservatives speak of times being tough right now----Well, times really get tough when you have an Administration that can't tell the truth--but are experts with bombarding the American voter with endless propaganda. Yes, when the masses get hip to Bush's lies and propaganda; Things Will Get Tough.
Many people do not support Curious George. Bush only has an approval of 34% overall, while 66% feel he is a very poor leader and cannot be trusted anymore. Bush and his conservative robotic minions don't care about polls unless it favors them. Besides Dictators don't care about POLLS!!!!! After all a famous dictator once said "It matters little how many people vote; what matters is who counts the vote". Hint: Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004.
As for the current news media---our news it is none existent. Right now all we have are media shills, media whores and news models. Millions of Americans are hungry for the news, this is why millions seek out information on the INTERNET. Presently, five major corporations own the major news outlet, as a result, corporations decide the type of news millions on Americans get to view.
In terms of Leadership, Clinton would run circles around Bush. Millions of Americans wish Clinton was in Office at this stage. Bush rules by fear and propaganda. Bush has had many Freudian Slips over the last 5 years when his speeches aren't scripted and his handlers allow him to speak off the cuff so to speak.
Conservatives and Republican's can cry me a river when they attempt to look for charity for help with calling off the Bush Haters. After all it comes with being President--there were millions of Clinton Haters on behalf of Conservative Republicans during 8 years of the Clinton Presidency. Oh well Bush has 3 more years of hate, ridicule and mistrust to endure. Bush doesn't care one way or the other, just as long as he's in power and can continue to help out his millionaire and billionaire buddies.
Historians are already predicting that the Bush Crime Family will go down as the most corrupt Presidency in our history. Good luck Republicans and Conservatives 06 and 08 will not be kind to your Party!
But wait, I forgot Bush and the GOP still has DIEBOLD to save the day. After-all a famous dictator once said "It matters little how many people vote; what matters is who counts the vote".
GOOD LUCK AMERICA, WE ARE ALL GOING TO NEED IT.

And exactly how personally is your life negatively effected? How about the personal life of your friends and family? How about ANYONE you know? What again is your point? You hate Bush..fine...you call him names...fine. What's your point? Do you really think this is how the democrats and liberals are going to win in 08? What you just stated could have been said in 2003...but guess what...Bush won again and without the legal problems of Florida.
Is it possible you are simply a sore loser?

Sorry bout that,
1. But the Future of the GOP is bright compared to who the Democrats are offering in leadership positions.
2. I don't even need to name them, they are a total disgrace, full of dishonor, to themselves and this Country.
3. You can not name one Democrat that has any Honor left.
4. The last I heard left his post, Zel Miller.
5. He freakin abandoned the Democratic Party, and rightly so.
6. If he didn't he would of been in the same boat as those disgraced Dems are right now.
7. There's no hope left for the Democrats, its already off its death bed, but sits in the morgue ready to be buried.

Guess which is "the most corrupt administration in U. S. history." Informed Americans, as opposed to those who get their news and political education from the "fair and balanced" sources like Fox News, know that the contenders are all Republican administrations.
While posing as paragons of virtue and truth, Conservative Republicans claim that Bill Clinton's administration was "the most corrupt administration in American history", despite the fact that history contradicts everything about that statement. It may be hard to order them exactly, but here are the contenders for the first, second, third & fourth "most corrupt administrations in American history" :
Here's a web page devoted to the corruption of the two Ulysses S. Grant administrations : http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h234.html :
"The frequency of these events led to the use of the term "Grantism", a word synonymous with greed and corruption. Many people at the time speculated that money from these ventures was being funneled into Republican Party coffers. These unsavory dealings led to the establishment of a more moral "Liberal Republican Party."
Here's the way one site about Warren Harding summarized that administration:
"The Harding administration is infamous not only for the Tea Pot Dome Scandal but for the general corruption of his administration. He was most unprepared to be President even though he had served in the state senate, as Lieutenant Governor, Governor, and Senator from Ohio. He did not have the physical stamina or the strong character required for leadership in the White House. Like U.S. Grant's administration, blind party politics and bad appointments led to vast corruption."
See http://www.shakerwssg.org/warren_g_hardingmarion_ohio.htm.
Unlike the efforts of the Republican Party and the so-called "Liberal" media to make mountains out of molehills, $ 60,000,000 or tax-payer money, any number of FBI agents and reporters, and 3 years of relentless investigations by both the media and the government ultimately showed that there was nothing in the Clinton administration that could compare with the true scandals of the Nixon administration, in which Spiro Agnew became the first and only U.S. vice president to resign in disgrace (on October 10, 1973), and Richard M. Nixon only avoided impeachment the following year by becoming the first and only U.S. president to resign in disgrace.
Then, after a brief reprieve, with one of the most pious and moral Christian presidents ever, Jimmy Carter, the Republican Party gave us the Ronald Reagan / George Bush team.
By the end of Reagan's two terms, 138 officials in his administration had either been convicted, indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. "In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever."
The corruption of Ronald Reagan's administration was so massive, and so under-reported, that it requires a separate web page all unto itself:
The Massive Corruption of the Reagan Administration.
The whole party claim
to be HIS followers !
The Republicans / Conservatives talked about the need to elect George W. Bush in order to restore honor, dignity, ethics and morality to the White House. Hmmm, let's take a look at the so-called honor, dignity, ethics and morality of George W., his brothers, his father and those who served in the Reagan administration :
George Walker Bush
Reaped $14 million from selling his $600,000 stake in a deal that involved the building of a new stadium for the Texas Rangers. George profited handsomely while taxpayers were stiffed for the money to subsidize Bush and his investment partners.

Sorry bout that,
1. No its not how much mud gets flung on a persons honor that makes the man dishonored, its how much mud the man can take without throwing mud back decides who has the honor and dignity, as a person.
2. Carter got a pass, Clinton Got a Pass, all the Republicans on your short list didn't.
3. They were the ones who stood for something, while the Failure Democrats were given a PASS.
4. Clinton Killed off The Democratic Party, you just don't know it yet even while we bury you.
5. Good luck with that.

If Clinton killed the Democratic Party, What the hell do you think Bush is doing to the Republican Party? Especially with a paltry job and integrity rating in the middle 35% range.
The Bush Administration makes the Mafia look like Girl Scouts. Bush promised to bring honor and integrity back to the W.H. and has done just the opposite.
We don't hear about all of the Bush administrations indiscretions and law breaking adventures b/c only the Republican dominated house and senate can open a debate on the senate floor or order an investigation.
Instead, the party (GOP) and administration (Bush) who ran on the platform of restoring dignity, integrity and accontability have all but lied to their constituency and the american people.

If history is any teacher, it instructs us in the incremental process that elitists use to implement their totalitarian agenda. The first step is to use an incessant, highly orchestrated propaganda. For all practical purposes, the major media in the United States is providing that propaganda. At the national level, there is hardly any investigative journalism going on. Instead, the national press corps has become little more than lazy lackeys for the White House.
The second step is to lay the foundation for totalitarianism by passing legislation that may later be used against the citizenry. And that is exactly what the Bush administration has very successfully accomplished. It very adroitly succeeded where the Clinton administration failed.
The third step is to demonize and marginalize anyone and everyone who opposes the government's plans and ambitions. Such opponents are characterized as "unpatriotic," "obstructionist," "uncompassionate," or even "ungodly." Once again, the Bush minions have very skillfully done just that. Anyone who dares to oppose or even question Bush must be regarded as enemies of America or even as enemies of God

Let republicans talk together.. i see no problem with the more liberal people posting replies but making topics bashing republicans, come on.

You're right. I think questions directed to republicans about the republican party, and comments by republicans (good or bad) about their party are fine, but attack posts by non republicans shouldn't be in the republican category. The same goes for attack posts by non democrats in the democrat category.

The Chickenhawk Warmongering Republicans are triators to our militaryand the American people. The chickehawks in the Bush Admin. managed to avoid the Vietnam War yet seem to have no problems sending our service members into the Chaotic Debacle/Bush Folly, known as IRAQ.
Cheney got 5 deferments to avoid NAM, Bush hid out in a Cherry Air National Guard unit never slated to deploy to NAM. RUMMY avoided serving in the Korean conflict.

What do neo-con Repub./GOP stand for? Corporate Coruption and War Profiteering, Wedge Issues, and Pandering for votes.

rastaman - I've read a total of 2 articles from this forum and unfortunately they were your posts.
The only thing I have to say is that pretty much everything you say can be said for Democrats as well. What bores me is when one spews this crud about how corrupt one side is when in reality both sides always have trouble. This is a weak argument and it really shows your lack of debating skills. Read a bit more, dig a little deeper and demonstrate your point by making contrasts to show how your party is better, which is clearly isn't in my opinion, but give it a shot...

Look Boogey, Both Clinton and Bush are "Big Boys" with broad shoulders and an infrastructure surrounding them to help deflect the Bashing.Â*Â*Speaking of deflection; Bush has a Repub. majority in the Senate and House to further help Bush deal with the Bashing as well as 30% support of the voting public/Bush Loyalist; so Bush will survive the Bashing just fine.

Rastaman, I would suggest you end this thread because you are not going to change any republican minds no many how man facts you present.
I would suggest these people sit and wait for November of this year when Americans go to the polls to vote. Based on the polls, we can be pretty sure of how the races will turn out but based on past performance, if they dont turn out that way, we can be equally sure the Republicans have stolen the election as they did in 2000 and 2004.
Whether these people can accept the fact or not does not change that fact that even Republicans with an ounce of brains between their ears are jumping ship. Even they can see the writing on the wall.
Will this mean the demise of the Republican party? I hope not because once upon a time, that party was an upstanding honest group of men. But it has become a cabal led by a group of Monarchists and a wannabee dictator. Thats the aspect of the Republican Party that be put out of its misery and will be.

Well since Im new I hope the liberals will rank me in with my fellow conservatives as being wholeheartedly passionate about the issues. I am not one to attack people over issues, nor use foul language, but that doesn't mean I won't point out problems with arguments.
Rastaman, After reading some of your posts, and finding at least two that are directly copied from other websites, I might encourage you to desist from bashing republicans as mindless followers, unless you seek to stop presenting other people's work as your own.
One interesting point you have made is that the right stole the elections. I guess that is based off your hope and assertion that America is a democracy. Like other leftists, you hope that the rule of the majority will win out, just like places such as Venezuela or Spain for instance. Sadly though America was founded as a Republic and not a democracy. We use a different electoral system. While GWB certainly won the popular vote in 2004, he did not win the popular vote in 2000. This has incensed the democrats since that time, and erringly convinced them that the election was stolen. No amount of kicking, screaming or crying will change the results. There has been zero evidence of election fraud on the part of republicans from either election. However, there have been several instances where Democrats were caught 'cheating' for lack of a better word.
I love fanatical leftists because they are so passionate. Its just said they are passionate in all the wrong ways.
