I was hoping for discussion of democracy, an ideology that began in Athens, and all I have gotten so far is religious arguements.Â*Â*I hate arguing religion with born again Christians.Â*Â*If this is all I am going to get, I will withdraw from the forums.Â*Â*

Are you being sarcastic or sincere? I have not made the final decision, because there is a chance of good discussion.
This whole thing is so difficult. I have been accused of baiting in the religous forum, when the point of being there is democracy is not about religion, it is about reasoning. Christianity without education for democracy is what Germany had and it threatens our liberty. I hate arguing, and hope to find someone who understands the concepts and can help expand understanding of such things. Does anyone know Cicero or the reasoning behind the Declaration of Independence? Are there people in the democracy forum who can converse about democracy?

There's a whole lot of areas on this site to debate topics outside religion.
If you want to get a good discussion started pick a topic, any topic, that you want to discuss and make a subject on it.
If you'd like to be featured in a more prominent way we'll put you on the editorials section. We have yet to have any members outside moderators or staff make a submission.
By all means, help us grow by giving us some great topics and writings.

The democracy part is a name. It's simply a political debate forum, not one dedicated to discussing solely democracy.
Though this site is very young, and has only really started having any volume of posts in the past week or so.
Plus everything PAD said.

You continue to post within the Religious Debate area and you will continue to get religious topics.
Try the History or Law areas. Seriously the site has a lot discussion than religion.

Yeah, right, like that works. My first post was under history. I have posted under law. Any other suggestions?
People argue religion, and there is an alternative. It is reason, but as pointed out, Christians go on faith not reason. This difference is crucial to democracy, but there is not enough understanding of democracy to discuss that. Sometimes Hindus and Buddhist make religious discussions interesting. They seem more concerned with good reasoning. I am just disappointed that's all. I expect a democracy forum to be about democracy. Like why call it a democracy forum instead of a political forum, when the subject of democracy is not really what it is about?

Try this website:

:)
btw if you are talking about your post in American History it's hard to debate. It seems like facts. Maybe the History section isn't great to have inside of a debate. However I will try to make a reply for you in your thread.
