I know there are various types of lawyers, like real estate attorneys, for example, but when they are going through law school, don’t all of them expect at some time to wind up in a trial? Wouldn’t the overwhelming majority expect to spend a good part of their career preparing for or participating in trials?

And so isn’t this whole "trial lawyer" slander just some mediapolAtickle buzzword nonsense? Isn’t it true forum, that the whole thing is in fact stupid?

*Objection, leading the forum*

I'm not an expert but not all lawyers go to trial. For example, I have a lawyer. He's there mainly for my business. He gives me advice and helps me get the most out of my company. I've had a few incidents where I had to go to court and he never went. He always sent someone who specializes in court proceedings.

At least that's the way he explained it to me. It does make sense I suppose. I guess it does take a special talent beyond brains and knowledge to argue in a courtroom and convince jurys.
