Filmmaker Michael Moore's production company took ailing Ground Zero responders to Cuba in a stunt aimed at showing that the U.S. health-care system is inferior to Fidel Castro's socialized medicine, according to several sources...

The trip was to be filmed as part of the controversial director's latest documentary, "Sicko," an attack on American drug companies and HMOs that Moore hopes to debut at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

"I would rather die in America than go to Cuba," said Joe Picurro, a Toms River, N.J., ironworker approached by the filmmaker...

Another ill worker who said he was willing to take the trip ended up being stiffed by Moore...

Moore's publicist did not return calls from The Post...

Participants in the Cuba trip were forced to sign a confidentiality agreement prohibiting them from talking about the project, the sources said.

Travel to Cuba is severely restricted from the United States, but Moore's crew was granted access, the producer told McCormack, through a "general license that allows for journalistic endeavors there." ...

Why aren't Sharpton and Jackson going after Moore for all the smears he makes in his films?Â*Â*Selective outrage once again.

This is little more than a regurgitation of what we already know about Moore. He lives in a world of fallacy where he makes up a reason to be enraged and then builds sets of circumstances around his presupposition.

I doubt the fat Shit will be seeking Cuban medical treatment for his impending heart attack...maybe Mayo Clinic?

I'd like to know when the movie comes out.

Opinions of Moore aside, I do think insurance and healthcare is a big issue in the US. I'll wait until I see the film to judge.

I was given an oppurtunity to be a aprt of it but declined.

Yeah, I'd like to see the film, too. Clearly, some DF members of the rightward persuasion believe that if Michael Moore does it, it must be wrong. Frankly, I enjoy Moore's films because he DOES piss off so many conservatives. We on the left should have our own pundits who can drive up blood pressures for conservatives the way the vast right wing conspiracy does for us.:P

I think one of the things that makes 'em so mad is that they haven't actually been able to pin any deliberate lies on him. And mean as he can be at times, he just doesn't even approach the sleaziness of people like Coulter, O'Reilly and Limbaugh.

Oh, it's a WONDERFUL life!

The only thing he ever did that I didn't like was in Bowling for Columbine. He interviewed Matt Stone about growing up in Columbine, Colorado then made a South Park like cartoon in the film, which made it look like it was made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It was misleading.

After that I love him.

He`s been pinned so many times with lies that what he says is disregarded by even the MSM.

So how come nobody's won a lawsuit against him?

Can't stand the man.......he does what I can't stand in a person. Takes a kernal of the truth and stages it. What he did with the Kayla Rolland story is unforgivable.

He lives in his fine upscale New York apartment, comes to Flint to exploit the people just because he "thinks" he is a Flint native. If he was any type of man, he would actually give back to the community that he uses up like tissue when he needs to look down home and "common".
