Sorry bout that,

1. But Mrs. Edwards married to John Edwards, is dieing slowly.
2. And her husband, *The Breck Girl*, will run for office over her Dead Body.
3. So Sad, that, *The Neo-libs would do this.
4. But that's what makes a Neo-lib a Neolib.
5. They want power at all costs!
6. Even the one who they love, and who birthed their children.

So sad we have Retarded Neocons that are trying to make a mockery out of a wife who fully supports and encourages her husband to run. He would not run if not for her support. But then only Retarded Neocons try to make a mockery of this.

I admire courage wherever it manifests itself. I believe Mrs. Edwards has made a courageous decision. And as one who's been through two life-threatening bouts with cancer, thirty years apart, I think I do know how much easier it is to want to withdraw from people.

Mrs. Edwards has shown courage and fortitude in spades, in contrast to some of the people on this forum, who've expressed hate for her or her family. Would one of the conservatives who's full of hate please explain to me just how that's a family value? Is it something about not wanting to be exposed to things that make you uncomfortable? Is it a lack of courage yourself? I would really like to know.

Man, that is such a tacky post.

Sorry bout that,

1. But I just sense that this whole thing on how they called for a *News Conference*,just to say, "My Wife Is Dieing, But I Am Still In The Running" to be so out of touch with reality.
2. As I am *The Great CWN*, I notice these things.
3. Like in most things I contribute to the Neolibs, its just plain weird.
4. Its not compassionate towards her, or the whole idea of being there for your dieing failing wife.
5. Why did he have to call an announcement of the fact that, a) She's terminal, and b) I'm not quiting.
6. It makes no sense, unless he was talked out of resigning his run for the White House, some how the day thereof.
7. If so he should come out and say so, because he looks like a complete jerk, if he thought so, and then changed his mind, with out an explanation.
8. She could be dead in a matter of 8 months.

Sorry bout that,

1. But if he had just allowed his wife to show up on 60 Minutes, then all the Neolibs would of been informed that she was terminal, and she was going to support her husbands bid for the White House, even though she might not ever see the White House if he were to win.
2. Then he would be single, and the President.
3. Which would be a very strange thing indeed, for the Breck Girl.
4. Well I guess he could be both?

(CBS) When John and Elizabeth Edwards announced this past Thursday that her breast cancer had returned and spread to her bones, and that his presidential campaign would continue, they sparked a national discussion about the choices involved.

At this stage Elizabeth's cancer is incurable and treatment doesn't always prolong life. Was it the right decision to stay in the race? Can John Edwards run for president and care for his wife and family, a family that has already suffered the death of a son more than a decade ago? Can John Edwards be president without being distracted by his wife's illness?

Those are some of the questions 60 Minutes correspondent Katie Couric asked the couple this weekend after a campaign event in Las Vegas.

Katie Couric:
Elizabeth, first and foremost, how are you feeling?

Elizabeth Edwards:
Actually, I feel fine. I mean, except for a cracked rib that is completely unrelated to any of the more serious issues I face, I feel terrific.

Katie Couric:
Have you found that people are relating to you a bit differently with this news?

Elizabeth Edwards:
Well, I mean, I had somebody... hug me... in the last hour with a tear going down the side of her face. And I'm actually hoping that's one of the things that this discussion will fix. That people will see that – that you're not necessarily dying of cancer but you can also live with cancer and that – and you can live a full life. Concentrate on the things that matter to you.

We're all going to die. And I pretty much know what I'm going to die of now. But I – I do want to live as full and normal a life as I can from this point on.

Katie Couric:
Have you received any additional information the last couple of days about where the cancer might have spread other than this area of your ribs?

Elizabeth Edwards:
That was... there... we... there are a couple of hot spots, on the bone scan, in my right hip, for example. And one of the questions is whether or not to do radiation to reduce the size of that – of the cancer in that location and for fear that it might weaken my bone and that I might break my hip. But their consensus was that it was too small an area for that to be a risk.

So, you know, we were on a real roller coaster, the two of us, on Wednesday.

People get cancer all the time but that doesn't mean that they should stop living their lives because of it. I don't think it is sad that Edwards and his wife still plan to run for office, I think it is great that they refuse to give up and let cancer stop them from living their lives.

Sorry bout that,

1. But look folks, I feel terrible that she has contracted cancer, and is going to die to young.
2. I really feel bad for her.
3. And to a degree I agree with Buck Wheat, she is very courageous to want to keep going, to stand and fight for her husband when she faces the toughest fight of her life.
4. Takes courage to do that I suppose, and faith in yourself.
5. I don't know if I would do it, to tell the truth.
6. I think I would take care to mind my medical needs, and take side trips to places I never been but always wanted to go.
7. Politics isn't everything, especially when your on deaths door.
8. But I succeed they can do what they want, its her life that they are seeing crumble.
9. Could be politics itself is behind her illness, it could be rubbing her the wrong way.
10. Anyway, this will end up being the toughest time of her life, taking on this huge challenge.

No, Caseoso, you don't feel bad. You got caught in another nasty post, and you're trying to dig your ass out I think it's time you learned to think for yourself instead of following the lead of whatever nasty-minded right-wing pundit you're following at the moment.

I'll agree with you that it does take faith and if I'm not mistaken they both are religious.

5. I don't know if I would do it, to tell the truth.
6. I think I would take care to mind my medical needs, and take side trips to places I never been but always wanted to go.

.......and you don't think she can do both, also she's seeing tons of the USA.
