More and more research is showing that Global Warming is caused by the sun. Yes that giant fire ball in the heavens gets hot...and causes us and the rest of our solar system to heat up.

But Abdussamatov’s critics say the Red Planet’s recent thawing is more likely due to natural variations in the planet’s orbit and tilt. On Earth, these wobbles, known as Milankovitch cycles, are thought to contribute to the onset and disappearance ice ages.
“It’s believed that what drives climate change on Mars are orbital variations,” said Jeffrey Plaut, a project scientist for NASA’s Mars Odyssey mission. “The Earth also goes through orbital variations similar to that of Mars.”
As for Abdussamatov’s claim that solar fluctuations are causing Earth’s current global warming, Charles Long, a climate physicist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratories in Washington, says the idea is nonsense.
“That’s nuts,” Long said in a telephone interview. “It doesn’t make physical sense that that’s the case.”
---------
The radiation output of the Sun does fluctuate over the course of its 11-year solar cycle. But the change is only about one-tenth of 1 percent—not substantial enough to affect Earth’s climate in dramatic ways, and certainly not enough to be the sole culprit of our planet’s current warming trend, scientists say.
“The small measured changes in solar output and variations from one decade to the next are only on the order of a fraction of a percent, and if you do the calculations not even large enough to really provide a detectable signal in the surface temperature record,” said Penn State meteorologist Michael Mann.
The link between solar activity and global warming is just another scapegoat for human-caused warming, Mann told LiveScience.
“Solar activity continues to be one of the last bastions of contrarians,” Mann said. “People who don’t accept the existence of anthropogenic climate change still try to point to solar activity.”

Sorry bout that,
1. But what's driving this whole Global Warming?
2. Greed.
3. Al Gore is promoting this whole *Global Warming * thing for greed's sake.
4. You just don't get it.
5. Your a moron.
6. But never fear, *CWN IS HERE !*
7. Al Gore created a web site, that takes off setting shares in a fictitious system, where you donate money into his bank account, so he will plant trees, and promote company's that use *Green* methods in their business out looks.
8. All the while he sends money into his own websites bank account, and writes it off on his taxes.
9. Then he finds ways to reincorporate those funds back into his private use.
10. *Gawd Damn YOUR Dumb!*
11. That's why I'm here.

Global Warming is caused by the sun Duh! I'm actually experiencing global cooling right now. Oh yeah, it's dark. But I know we'll have global warming in the morning!

Holy sh1t!!
What are we doing to cause that? And how can we stop it?
Ban Apple Jacks?
Aaaah, America is so bad.

Ever notice how the Global Warming cultists AVOID the #1 "greenhouse gas" entirely?
No, there can be nothing wrong with the #1 greenhouse gas, ONLY the #2 "greenhouse gas."
What is the #1 "greenhouse gas" you ask?
WATER.
Yes, that substance that covers 70% of the planet!
The substance absolutely required for any of us to survive a week.
Observe the next cloudy night, notice how "warm" it is compared to the next clear night you observe.
That water vapor -- clouds -- like panes in a greenhouse, trap the radiation and keep the climate warm.
What a wholesale crock of BS this global warming is.

Did Rush teach you that one?

LOL
You DENY that water is the #1 greenhouse gas?
You DENY that water covers 70% of the planet?
I graduated my state university with highest honors. Being a recreational outdoorsman, I concentrated on the natural sciences for my "hard" science requirements. I can take you offshore to blue water open ocean and return you safely due to my knowledge of the natural physical sciences.
All you got is cheap shallow swipes about "Rush." LOL

Being an offshore fisherman myself, I can confirm that knowledge of the weather, ocean currents, and the climate in general is absolutely essential to venturing out to the deep blue and returning safely, and is part of sound seamanship. It has been since the days of sail. Sailors were the first weather men and climatologists. Fishermen are meteorologists and climatologists by proxy. Our lives depend on it. The best local weather man we had here was a fisherman, and he had no degree in meteorology. Fishermen are keenly observant of the environment we subject ourselves to, and I've taken numerous courses related to weather given by the US Coast Guard, The United States Power Squadron, and NOAA. I don't have a piece of paper proclaiming me an "expert", but I'm smarter than the average bear. Ask offshore fishermen if they buy the man made global warming hoax. Your answer will be a resounding "NO!"

This is just utter silliness.
Similarly, there is no trend in direct measurements of the Sun's ultraviolet output and in cosmic rays. So for the period for which we have direct, reliable records, the Earth has warmed dramatically even though there has been no corresponding rise in any kind of solar activity.
