View Full Version : New York Times to debunk Gore

No link yet but there appears to be an article coming out by William Broad for the NY Times outing Al Gore and the other whacko, kool-aid drinking libs. Here's a quote from the article. As soon as a link pops up I'll post it.
"Scientists argue that Gore's warnings are full of exaggerated claims and startling errors."
"A CALL TO COOL THE HYPE"
Of course everyone out there that has more than half a brain cell already knows this man-made global warming conspiracy theory is just political agenda in action brought to you by your friendly, dim-witted libs.

Do you ever actually READ the articles you post? Most of them don't say what you think they say.:D

The last three haven't!
Headlines are enough for Mr. Attention-Span.
So, it appears that it ISN'T the New York Times that is "debunking" Al Gore after all. Some scientists disagree with the extent of human impact on the current global warming trend and THAT is what the article is all about. The NYT has nothing to do with it at all.
When you cloud up your brain with MJ and Dick Morris' Neocon claptrap, you become prone to making statements that have no basis in truth or fact. Same old, same old with stoner.
I guess when you drink the Sour Grape Neocon Kool-Aid, you never just sip it but you chug-a-lug it a whole gallon at a time.

I'm surprised you can even type a sentence with yours on.
I type with my cock. I have great control.
You think with it, too, it appears.

Glenn Beck did a GREAT segment on his tv show last night in regards to the NYT exposing Al Gore. This is a must see.

Your typing is well, must have a small cock then :D :P
Yeah, Glenn Beck, harpy for rightwing causes all up and down the spectrum, is a viable critic that ought to be listened to. Isn't he on Headline News, a company owned by CNN? Haven't I seen you bash CNN for their biases in the past? Thanks for proving the point.
MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The point you failed to see is that the NYT is a credible source no matter what your personal viewpoint is but I wouldn't expect you to see that. Convenient that NOW you choose to hold them up for praise. It just makes your pettiness all that more clear. The NYT reports stories. You have to use your gray matter (or what's left of it, in your case) to filter out the spin and get to the heart of the matter. I know that's too hard for you sometimes so you just chuck the whole thing into the trash heap until something like this comes along and you try to resurrect the Times as a paragon of virtue.
The article had pro-Gore views as well as dissenting views on Gore's theories. It is very clear that you did not read the entire article or you chose to ignore it hoping that the rest of us would skip over those parts as well. The Times did their job in REPORTING the story. You failed in representing it for what it was.

This topic was locked and edited then reopened by me. Last night I posted some inflammatory remarks and ECW and I got into it. I blame myself for ruining this topic and for posting some personal attacks on ECW. I have split the posts away to the cemetary (admin area dead zone) and reopened this thread.
Please continue debate here in a civil manner (and yes I understand this applies to me as well).

Here are some good points from the video I posted above.
- From 'Convenient Lie' Gore says that the oceans will rise 20 feet taking out NY and most of Florida. It turns out he mistakenly used feet instead of inches. Oops. Turns out scientists say that at the most, waters will rise 23 inches over the next 100 years. They may not even rise at all.
- Al Gore is using scare tactics to convert people to the lib party making them feel that him and his other lib friends are the only ones who can save the planet. He claims that this warming is one of the worst ever and that we are all doomed unless we change our ways. But the funny thing is there have been longer spans in the past 10-15 thousand years where the warming has been 10-20 times worse. Guess we can't blame CO2 and humans for that, huh?
- CO2 is most likely not responsible for global warming. During the last century the temperature has risen 1 degree. Now this is where Al Gore and the libs want to come running at you with scare tactics in hand screaming about CO2. It's all CO2 because this is the span where we started using so much of it. But there's a funny thing about that. During that 100 year span there was no rise in temperature for the first 45 years. Now the big rise in CO2 came from 1945 to today...but for the first 30 years of that span it actually got colder rather than hotter. It's only gotten hotter the past 30 years.
- Many people wonder, "Well if there is no man-made global warming then why are some scientists saying there is?" It's a good question. And the answer is simple. Incentives. There is currently 6.2 billion dollars in funding for scientists to prove global warming. And guess which people are getting this money?
- Hell, even the UN...the freakin UN... said specifically there is no basis in scientific literature existing at this time for these claims of massive sea level rise.
I am glad the NYT finally decided to quit being partisan for once and expose the truth and these phony scientists who are lying to get money and funding.

I would be unfair if I didn't at least congratulate Stoner for actually managing to string some of his own words together, presumably.
So enjoy it.

The Glenn Beck video was great. I am watching his show more and more. I assume CNN recognizes it needs more balancing in it's views if it wants to really compete with Fox.
The video with Beck really points out a lot of the faults with Gore and his movie along with the NYTimes article.

Actually stoner is just repeating what Glenn Beck said. None of those words are his own.
Like I said once before, the Times merely reported that there are disputing voices out there. They have not debunked Gore ar anything else for that matter. It was the scientist from WWU that did that to a limited extent. The article is clear that scientists agree that humans have had an impact on global warming. They are in disagreement as to how much that effect is.
The Times reported that. Pretty Fair and Balanced for a "Liberal" newspaper if I say so myself.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so close. Strike one.
Give it another swing, Sluggo.

Many appear to occupy a middle ground in the climate debate, seeing human activity as a serious threat but challenging what they call the extremism of both skeptics and zealots.
Home run, Bozo. Thanks for playing. Game over.
